We had submitted a scathing review a couple of years ago. Good news.. under new ownership.. we found out and returned after a 3 year hiatus and so happy we did. The new owners are bending over backwards to change the perception of the park.. What a change to have people understand what you want and give it.. They worked for over a week to steam open the sewer lines to give us sewer... trucked water to the site for 2 weeks... big plans for improvements... a must stay for people visiting Winnipeg.

This is now our summer home, after being chased away from the only other park near Winnipeg by rude management and owners. The owners live onsite and bend over backwards to accommodate. In spring, when water lines are still frozen, owner will take a hose to each site to refill holding tank. As stated, there are not many amenities, other than friendliness. Came in early one year and he plowed out our site. Fire pits available, no extra charge for family to stay.

We are full-time RVers who make Winnipeg area our summer home and have made Travellers our home park, putting up with the antics of the owners and staff, until last year. As stated, the sites are nice, but the owners and manager are impossible to deal with. Seasonals are required to maintain their own yards. The roads are in such disrepair since they were torn up. A simple request to reserve a certain site is taken as a challenge to give you any site other than the one you request. Wi-Fi is only available in the office, but the manager doesn't like you to sit in there. After numerous run-ins with management, we moved to another campground.

We came here from another campground, after being chased away by their rudeness, to find the nicest most thoughtful owners ever. Not enough nice things can be said about the owners, who work long hours to improve the park. This park is open 2 weeks earlier and a month later than others in the area. Washrooms and showers are spotless, cleaned more than once a day.

This is an exceptional city park. Huge sites, even for our 35' class A. Each site has a separate patio area. Beautiful lake view sites. Contrary to previous comments, there are no true waterfront sites, in that the sites stop short of the water, allowing everyone access to the lake. It would be nice to have sewer connections, but for visits of less than a week ( or driving up to dump) it is very doable. Even though there are plenty of shade trees, some sites offer clear view for satellites.

I don't normally review all parks, but after reading the negative review I felt I had to. We moved from Weslaco to this park, as we liked it better. Being winter Texans, we have seen a few different parks. Within a week we were so welcomed by the yearly and casuals, that we decided to make this our long-term winter resort. Contrary to previous review.. you only have to do your own yard work if your want to have ornaments in the lawn, so they don't get damaged. When the previous reviewer was there, they were in the middle of a 5 yr drought, therefore the grass was in poor repair, and the city of Alamo established water rationing, not the park.
