Bow RiversEdge Campground, Cochrane, Alberta

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Great park, this is how all parks should be organised and presented. Wifi is good and free for 1st 7 days not sure about after 7 days. Shopping is 3kms away and there are river walks by the park. Quiet.
We arrived at 10 am but were asked to wait until 1.00 pm before we could occupy the site even though the site and plenty of others were vacant, we found this a bit odd and quite inconvenient as it was pouring with rain so could not do much except drag our rig to Walmart and back. Other than that a superb site. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Glowing Embers RV Park, Edmonton, Alberta

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a massive park, hundreds of units most of which appear permanent, but better quality ones.

Two problems, noise from the freight trains sounding horns all night and pathetic wifi that is almost impossible to get on, when you eventually get on it lasts about 2 minutes then you are off for hours. According to reception nothing can be done, I checked the download speed when I did get on, less than 1mb, which is the problem. The problem is that they can do something about it but either don't care or are too cheap to spend any money. Well they will not get more of mine. We camped at Glowing Embers RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Kline's RV Park, Nelson, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

There are about 8 sites in total of which 4 seem to be permanent, two of which are very old and tired. Of the four free sites two are very difficult to level, they are on a grass slope. Internet was off the first day but on the second. It is situated behind a used car lot so the location is not ideal either. We camped at Kline's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Road noise, so if this would bother you then this place is not for you. Wifi is abysmal to non existent. Otherwise not a bad place for a 1 nighter or 2. We camped at Crowsnest Pass Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Gold Mountain RV Park, Hedley, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We were only a 1 nighter as we were passing thru to Alberta, we made a reservation and they did not charge our card at that time which is a nice touch. They charged us when we arrived. The owners are the friendliest owners we have ever encountered in over 50000kms of RV experience, he helped us set up, lent me a power extension free of charge, was there in the morning to help move out. One of our night shades broke, within minutes the owner brought us someone who knew how to fix these things, talk about service! It was a Saturday and the place was full save for 1 site yet they had time for us.

We regret not having the time to stay longer it is a lovely place and the Hitching Post Restaurant in Hedley is one of the best we have encountered in a long time, seriously good food and at excellent prices. So we are planning our next trip and we will stay longer next time.

Thank you for making our stay memorable. Hats off to you both! We camped at Gold Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Salmon Point RV Park, Campbell River, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The location and amenities are superb. However, we will not return. We stayed in September 2015 and the internet was diabolical, we were told that they were in the process of installing a new system, so we put up with it. (we need the internet to keep tabs on our business). Then this week, June 2016, we are told that the internet is poor because they are installing a new system, what they really mean is that they don't want to pay for a decent system but want your money anyway and will keeping fobbing you off with the same lame excuse.

So I set up the cable TV, nothing! In 2015 it worked though. Nothing was said about this when we checked in. So now you have to leave a deposit on $100 to get a decoder box which you have to install in your RV somewhere, our neighbour tried it and said it was not just a simple plug in but required removing the TV off the wall and using red, yellow, white cables to make the connection. On mine these cables are connected to the surround sound so I am not messing with it.

So for a camp site with poor internet and no TV it is overpriced and not suitable for our needs.

The worst part is that the owners think they can get away with cutting costs, providing a diminished service, and expecting us to return.

No thank you. Management/Owners wake up Internet and TV have been BASIC services for the past 15 years or more! We camped at Salmon Point RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Living Forest Oceanside RV Park and Campground, Nanaimo, British Columbia

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a month. The reception staff are excellent, kind, courteous, and most helpful. The sites are private, wide, and well maintained. The whole campsite is clean and maintained well. We had an internet problem and was resolved it within 10 minutes. We had a lot of rain and there were some puddles where the truck was parked. Within half an hour new gravel was brought and the area leveled. Excellent service. This is a great park for kids and wildlife lovers. I will recommend this park to everyone. We camped at Living Forest Oceanside RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Riverside RV Park, Enderby, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We reserved full hook up, but this was a mistake. Most were very narrow and all faced the road and houses. They moved us to a water and power site at the other end of the park, which was infinitely better, wide and shady with a view of the river. Crowded at weekend, but quiet in the week. No cable or terrestrial TV. WiFi only works within sight of the office and is fairly slow, but works. Great for kids and tubing on the river. We camped at Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Whistler RV Park and Campground, Whistler, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

For fairly remote and basic camping this is great park with friendly staff and awesome views. Good wide sites, new fast WiFi throughout the park, new shower block which we didn't use. Trees are not mature yet, so no shade except for the tent area. We would certainly use this campsite again. We camped at Whistler RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Fidalgo Bay Resort, Anacortes, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a week in a pull through. They are not the widest sites, but they are well staggered so there was plenty of room for us to get the awning out. The park is in a great location with beaches on two sides and walking/biking trails from the park. It is a well kept park and very convenient, friendly staff, excellent Wi-Fi. Road noise reflects off a cliff face, however, it did not put us off and at night the road is quiet. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
