Bottomless Lakes State Park, Roswell, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Not sure what all the fuss is about; nothing here to write home about. Lea Lake does have nice, clear water but otherwise, this is the desert. Very little in the way of fauna or flora and the "scenery" has eroded to the point where it looks like a large pile of boulders. Wi-Fi is a joke; to say they offer it is almost dishonest. The bath/shower building IS nice but after several days, I have yet to see them cleaned. My site is advertised as "lake view" but unless I get on the roof of my trailer, that is not true. There are no shaded sites. Staff is nice but unless you just want a cheap place to park your rig while you drive somewhere more interesting, this one is not a keeper. We camped at Bottomless Lakes State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Pine Harbor Campground, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly staff, consistently strong and fast Wi-Fi, shower/rest rooms cleaned daily, nice laundry facility, and nice well maintained landscaping. Surrounding area is beautiful with Lake Wissota State Park a stone's throw away. I stayed here for a month and would go back in a heartbeat. We camped at Pine Harbor Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Lake Wissota State Park, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $1.00

I don't recall the fee hence the $1. I did have to buy a park pass. Very nice sites in a truly beautiful state park. Would be a ten if only they had full hookups. Beautiful trails through a variety of diverse habitats. We camped at Lake Wissota State Park in a Travel Trailer.
