Town & Country Campground (formerly Traveller's RV Resort), Winnipeg, Manitoba

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

A convenient location to visit Winnipeg and easy to find. It's an okay park, but not wonderful. The land is swampy and the dirt sites are rutted. Fairly close together. Absolutely no wifi at all during the three days that we stayed. We camped at Town & Country Campground (formerly Traveller's RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Go to the Forks area! So nice and so much to do in that one area - walking along the river, across the new pedestrian bridge, riverboat tour, Forks Market, Parliament buildings - all were great.

Willowbend Campground & Cabins, Maple Creek, Saskatchewan

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We were here for three days in late August. There are many interesting things to do in the area, and this campground makes an acceptable home base. The sites are huge and have plenty of grass and trees. There are a few 50 amp pull-throughs. The wifi was terrible and basically didn't work for more than a few minutes in three days. But the worst thing was the trains. The tracks are so close that the whole motorhome vibrated and the trains runs every fifteen minutes or so, day and night and the train horn sounds loud and long every time. We would not stay here again, although I loved the area. We camped at Willowbend Campground & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fort Walsh, Eastend Dinosaur museum and Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park are all about an hour drive or less and all three are definitely worth going to. Cafe Terra in Eastend is fantastic, but a little hard to find. Maple Creek is an nice little town to walk around.

Westerner Campground, Red Deer, Alberta

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Pretty, clean park in a very convenient location. Lots of trees and grass and enough space between the sites. Friendly people. Really close to shopping. Quiet. One odd thing - in our motorhome, we had to nose in headfirst into the site, so the windshield was about a foot away from the picture window of the fifth wheel ahead of us. I thought it was pretty expensive for a 30 amp site. Wifi worked well. I didn't use the washrooms or laundry. We were in Red Deer for a wedding, so didn't do much of anything else, but it seemed like a nice little city. We camped at Westerner Campground in a Motorhome.

Woodhaven RV Park of Halifax, Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a campground on the outskirts of Halifax, and there doesn't seem to be too many RV parks to choose from around here. Woodhaven is quite acceptable for short or longer term stays in a big rig. It is a big park, with some tent sites, some small sites, some pull-throughs and some permanents. It's a bit old looking. The WiFi was excellent. We were here in a terrible rainstorm but the ground was firm. About a half hour drive into downtown Halifax, same to Peggy's Cove. About an hour to Lunenburg. We camped at Woodhaven RV Park of Halifax in a Motorhome.

Natchez Trace Parkway / Jeff Busby Campground, Ackerman, Mississippi

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful, quiet, clean and free. What could be better? Paved pads in the oak woods with picnic tables, fire pits and water taps spread throughout the park. New clean restroom building. There is a nice hiking trail up to a scenic viewpoint. A good place to unwind for a day or two during a drive down the Natchez Trace. Plenty of room for big rigs. We camped at Natchez Trace Parkway / Jeff Busby Campground in a Motorhome.

Meriwether Lewis, Hohenwald, Tennessee

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This a wonderful clean quiet campground, with widely spaced sites, picnic tables, fire pits and water available. Good selection of hiking trails and the information display at the museum is very well done. Don't miss the cemetery. One of my favorite campgrounds and it is free. We camped at Meriwether Lewis in a Motorhome.

Enon Beach Campground, Springfield, Ohio

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

While this campground is convenient to the air force museum, I would not recommend it. It had very tight turns for a 36' motorhome. It was full of unoccupied junky old trailers and located right beside two freeways and the train tracks. Internet only in laundry room. Too expensive. We camped at Enon Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Raccoon Valley RV Park , Heiskell, Tennessee

Nice quiet park, clean and friendly. A good base camp for exploring Knoxville and East Tennessee. Cable was not working anywhere in the park. I would stay here again. We camped at Raccoon Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.
