Frog City RV Park, Duson, Louisiana

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

All was good: power, cable, wifi, friendly helpful people. Sites are hard crushed rock and a little narrow but quite level. Turns are a little tight but no problem with our 35 foot class A and tow. Grass and dog runs are in good shape. Individual bathroom/showers are a real plus. Park is well lit at night.

"Roadys" gas station is just next door and has room for RV gas rigs in addition to diesel. We camped at Frog City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Buckhorn Lake Resort, Kerrville, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is our 4th time here. Most sites do not have shade, but all are nice pads and grass. Mostly big rigs. Very roomy roads and sites. WiFi is poor in some places but the DSL offered at your site is excellent. Ours was seven dollars for a week stay. You can connect a router to it which WalMart sells for $29.95 and have excellent WiFi on all your devices. Cable is ok. Verizon service is poor. Otherwise, this park is great. It is very clean and quiet. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Baton Rouge KOA, Denham Springs, Louisiana

Date of Stay: December, 2012 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This is the third time we have stayed here. I reserve a day ahead of time and request the first row for a pull through. It is just long enough for our 26 foot class C with a tow car. It had a cement pad and was level. We were in Site 3 this time. We like it. Clean, and power, water, cable, Wi-Fi all work very well and it was easy to login/connect. I read the previous reviews, and can't comment on the other sites. It was quiet on this Sunday night. Will stay here again. Short walk across the road to Bass Pro Shop, Sam's Club, etc. Can't get better than that. We camped at Baton Rouge KOA in a Motorhome.

Eagles Landing RV Park, Auburn, Alabama

Date of Stay: December, 2012 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

All utilities, Wi-Fi, cable are excellent. Some pads are cement, others are gravel. All look quite level. Reasonable grass. Some friendly, but loose dogs that seem to be permanent residents. Check web site for various rates and services. Call ahead and get site number and provide credit card. Owner isn't always on property; he has a phone number to call. About 10 minutes off the freeway. Would stay here again. We camped at Eagles Landing RV Park in a Motorhome.

James Island County Park, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice "natural" sites. Lots of trees. Reasonable space. Gravel pads but all looked quite level. I saw only back-ins. Wi-Fi was good. Local channels on antenna. Picnic tables in rather poor shape, but otherwise a great place to stay. We have not yet explored the rest of the park but the RV area would be on our list again for the future. We will stay this time for a full week We camped at James Island County Park in a Motorhome.

Stone Mountain Park Campground, Stone Mountain, Georgia

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful and interesting location. Forested and scenic. Old and difficult sites. Poorly maintained. Broken asphalt. Very tight access roads in the park. Hilly, sites very uneven. There was Wi-Fi but it didn't work for us. Everything in the area very pricy. We would not choose to stay here again. We camped at Stone Mountain Park Campground in a Motorhome.

I-10 Kampground, Theodore, Alabama

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Staff friendly and helpful. Many large trees. Mostly permanent residents. About a dozen pull through spots up front for pass-through rigs. Gravel pads but all slope up-hill a bit; requiring raising the back end (which I don't like to do on jacks) Wifi is fine. Cable fairly good on local channels but not most cable channels despite their extensive list. 30 amp voltage on the high side, approaching 128-130 volts. We camped at I-10 Kampground in a Motorhome.

Cypress Bend RV Park, Iowa, Louisiana

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Yes, there is a little noise from the nearby interstate, but it is not a bother. The park, pads, Wi-Fi, and cable, all couldn't have been better. Nice roomy pull-throughs. We camped at Cypress Bend RV Park in a Motorhome.
