Happy Traveler RV Park, Palm Springs, California

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed staying here. Check-in was simple, the staff was accommodating and willing to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, and other guests were friendly. The campground was convenient to the downtown area and within walking distance to everything. We would definitely stay at this campground again. We camped at Happy Traveler RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bakersfield River Run RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived at this park towards the end of July and stayed for the month of August. Our site had no shade, which was the case for most of the park. The sites along the dry river bed had some shade but not enough to mention. Also, these "river" sites are an additional $100. There was a clubhouse with a small gym and a tv viewing area. Our electric bill for the month of August came out to be over $300 and when we asked for an explanation we were given a breakdown which didn't make much sense. There were different tiers which was not explained to us when registering. Needless to say, we moved to another campground for the rest of our stay in Bakersfield that offered better rates, better amenities, electricity credit, and shade! We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Motorhome.
