Close to retirement , pull a travel trailer , like state parks
Date of Stay: October, 2015
Park was nice , sites are large and not too tight , showers clean etc. No Wi-Fi and no explanation other than it was down. TV reception was good, lots of local channels available. We had a good stay although I thought $40 per night was a little pricey . Lots of sites had shady areas , we'll probably stay here again. It's close to town and easy to find.

Park is well off the beaten path, lots of shade trees , spacious and laid out pretty good. The road in was pretty rough but the park is pretty nice. Abbeville is about 15 miles , no cable and no full hookups but otherwise no complaints.

Park needs attention; bathroom clean overall but lights did not work , locks do not work , trash can was full , no toilet tissue. Lots of junk around many of the RVs. Gravel pads were OK but somewhat uneven. The electrical hook up is not in the right place but we managed to reach it by pulling up as far as possible and was still able to open my slide-out. There was barely enough room to open the awning. The first spot I was directed to was occupied and office lady did not even know it. I really doubt I'll stay there again.

This is a very nice state park. We stayed 2 nights and rate is $20 per night plus entry fees which amounted to another $20 . Wasn't happy about having to pay the extra fees. Spaces are spread out nicely , lots of shade trees. No Wi-Fi where we parked , not much of a phone signal either for AT&T. Verizon seemed to work OK. It's very secluded; lot's of tent campers too, but all very well maintained. Bathrooms could have been cleaner, but I guess it was so busy with all the campers. It was still OK though.
