Tiger Run RV Resort, Breckenridge, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $85.00
Overall Rating:

A combination of private owned park models, private owned RV spaces and long term leased RV spaces as well as nightly and weekly rates. A beautiful, well maintaind, planned RV community. Wide streets, easy navigation even for my 41'4" 5th wheel on the back of my long bed truck. Easy to see where a person would want to spend an entire season here. It's the shangri-la of RV parks. Indoor pool for the residents but not sure if it's open to the nightly guests. Tennis courts, gym, etc. Pricey but we're from San Diego where $100 a night is average. They do offer a military and weekly discount. The sites have a lot of trees, lawn and a large pad.....privacy like I've never seen in an RV park. We highly recommend at least a couple of nights here. We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Green River State Park, Green River, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

A very well kept older campground. The spaces were spread out and plenty of room on the slab, space #5 to park the truck next to the 5th wheel. Pulled a 41'4" 5th wheel in here and got it out OK but you will need a spotter. 50 amp is all we used. Water is there but we didn't use it and didn't dump. Camp Host was a nice enough gentleman. The people were very friendly, mostly seniors (mid week in late Sept.). We were surprised at how affordable it was for 50 amp hook up. Do not bother with the RV park at the end of the street (scarry and more expensive) which is where we had our original reservation. We camped at Green River State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to buy the Green River watermelon if you're there in mid to late Sept. It's what that community is known for. Watermelon stands all over that little town.

Pala Casino RV Resort, Pala, California

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean park with large lawn areas that are completely weed free. They have a large landscape crew and a full time porter and it shows....spotless! Beautiful lawn, large valley oaks and although it's new, it's landscaped beautifully. It will be very nice in four or five years when all the trees are more mature. They have a large pool and spa, pool table, table tennis (ping pong), a large off-leash dog park in the back corner and two sets of very clean restrooms at opposite ends of the park. The spaces are very wide (widest I've ever seen). Some have a higher rolled curb for the water run off during the rains. We had space #100 (the highest curb in the park) with a 42' 5th wheel toy hauler but it was really a not an issue. We loved the space as it had a very large lawn area and right across the driveway from the office, the clubhouse, the trash and very close to the recycle bins. All the sites have a table and some have a b-b-q pit. They said it is 60' deep however, it must be at least 62' as my 5th wheel is 41'4" and I have a Super Crew, longbed, dually and still had several feet in front of my truck before the rolled gutter/curb. The drive lanes are the widest I've seen......very easy, even pulling a 5th wheel of this size. Only about 12-15 miles from Old Town Temecula, Walmart, and other stores. The casino is an easy walk of maybe 400 yds. across the casino employee parking lot or you can take the casino shuttle. Gas station/store are also on site. See the photos that I'll be posting. We camped at Pala Casino RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

All the sites appear to be very easy to get in and out of. Some have a higher rolled curb than other sites and this may be an issue for those that are new to RVing.

Auburn Gold Country RV Park, Auburn, California

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

A very pleasant RV Park from the first phone call until the morning we pulled out. For as many RVers (a few are fill timers....that were also very friendly) as were there (Memorial Day, 3 day weekend), the park was amazingly clean. The restrooms were clean at all hours of the day. The pool was actually very warm, and the water was clean even though it was crowded. 50 amp pedestal, so I had to use the 30 amp pedestal. The pedestals looked to be installed not long ago. I took many photos of this RV park but this forum doesn't have the ability to post photos of the RV parks being reviewed. We camped at Auburn Gold Country RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mark J RV Park (55+ park), Sacramento, California

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $520.00
Overall Rating:

An adult community which started out as a mobile home park and has gradually changed over to RV park (maybe 2/3 RVs). It is spotlessly clean. Aside from the traffic of six lane Madison Ave. it's very quiet in the park. You just need to ask for a space at the rear of the park. We're paying $520 for the month for full hook ups. It's all 50 amp pedestals so if your rig is a 30 amp, then you'll need the adapter plug avialable at Allied on El Camino or Camping World in Rocklin. The Mgr. and the other RVers are all friendly and out walking their dogs or just an afternoon/evening stroll. The spaces are easy to back in to. The space is a rock bed in between an asphalt driveway on the backside and a large concrete slab patio on the front side. It's easy back in access even for the largest rigs. I've drove all the RV Parks in the Sacramento area. Only one other comes close to this one. We camped at Mark J RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

The Fair Park RV - Alameda County Fairgrounds, Pleasanton, California

Date of Stay: December, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I gave this RV Park a 5 based solely on its location. The RV park itself leaves a lot to be desired; almost industrial looking, no views (other than RV storage next door). We paid $35 a night for a back in space on small rock with some mud puddles. The hook ups for our space were at the back of our trailer and slightly to the curb side of our trailer. Even though I backed in on the divider line of the next space over, I was still not able to get my sewer hose to reach. Fortuantely, I had bought a new sewer line, and with a couple of 4" hose clamps from my junk box and some other pieces of hard plastic and a bit of ingenuity, I was able to extend the hose long enough to reach. I would have asked for another space; however, the office closes early and we arrived at 4:45 p.m. While in the area, you may be interested in visiting the USS Hornet in Alameda! We camped at The Fair Park RV - Alameda County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Gold Country Campground Resort, Pine Grove, California

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

For a family friendly campground this place is at the top of the list. It's older but well maintained and more than enough to keep the kids (something for all ages, right up through the teens)busy. If anything, they have too many options. It's in the woods and has some terraced sites for RVs and some level and more open sites on top of the hill. They also have cabins for rent as well as a cottages for those that want to join you but don't do camping well. This place is close to so much of California's gold rush history. Jackson Rancheria Casino is just down the road ten miles for adult entertainment. We camped at Gold Country Campground Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
