After reading the write up in the Good Sam RV Park directory, we decided to stay here for a month. They had a special on for $400.00 per month, which was a big help in deciding to stay here. The streets are narrow and we had a bit of a difficult time backing our 43' Super C into our spot, but did get it eventually. The site was level and quite roomy, with a concrete pad and gravel around. We had a small orange tree at our site. It was fairly noisy at night due to trains, planes and cars. They have indoor and outdoor pools and jacuzzi's, a big library and a large variety of activities. We enjoyed everything at this camp, but were very disappointed that there was no Wifi, as stated in the Good Sam guide. The guide didn't specify "Wifi Hotspot" or "Wifi only in the office", it said Wifi. There is no wifi at the sites, and the wifi that was supposed to be at the office was impossible to get onto. When we (along with many others) complained at the office we were told by the office staff that they hadn't had any complaints before. I think we got on the internet at the office twice in the month we were there. We also were not able to get the cable channels they said they had. There are mostly park models at this park. We were appreciative of the very friendly security guards who were there around the clock, and felt safe and secure with them there. We would stay here again if/when they have internet at the sites.

The price is with the Good Sam discount and cash payment. We stopped here for one night on our way to the Hot Rod Reunion in Bakersfield. The sites were very roomy and level. Each site had a picnic table and small orange tree. We found it a bit tight getting around the corner to our site number 169. The washroom/shower facilities were old, but clean. The Internet service was great. We would stay here again.

Price reflects the Good Sam discount and the 30 amp service. The sites were gravel and level. Each site had a raised hibachi and small trees. There were mostly pull-throughs and some back-ins. We had lots of room to move around our 43’ rig. This park is a good value for the price. We would come back again.

The cost was for the days before Mardi Gras, therefore higher than normal. The office staff were very nice and helpful. The washroom shower facilities are very old, but seemed clean. The laundry room is clean. The office does not supply quarters for the laundry machines, nor is there a change machine in the laundry room. The sites are concrete and fairly level, but with all the rain lately, everything in the park is under water. There doesn’t appear to be any drainage in the park. The roads in-between the sites are very narrow and difficult to get around. The office closes at 5pm on Fridays and if your come in after that, you are without internet as you need a code for Tengo. The internet is frustratingly slow and we got kicked off repeatedly.

Price is with Good Sam discount. They have back-in sites only. We got a site that was fairly level, with a concrete pad that was broken, but usable. We were far enough away from the washrooms/showers and laundry room that we didn’t use those facilities. The office staff were very helpful and gave us lots of ideas of things to do and see. It’s an older campground, with lots of permanent workers, but it is kept clean. I gave it a better rating then the park itself deserves due to the internet being the best we’ve ever run across in an RV park. We would stay here again.

Very friendly staff in the office. You pick your spot and then go to office to pay. We found a fairly level spot. They have 30 amp power, water and a sewer dump is available near the front of park. Bare bones campground, but the washroom and shower area were very clean, although women’s toilet area had no functioning lights. Very quiet and dark at night. Nice pasture views around. No internet or cable available. Perfect location for sightseeing around Baton Rouge.

This park is mostly full of workers and they aren’t very sociable. It’s great for the park owners that they are there, just not a very friendly park for people passing through. The sites are fine, gravel with concrete pads, but the lanes in-between are very narrow and impossible to navigate through if all the workers are at home as they leave their trucks all over. The diesel pickups the workers have can be heard all day and night coming and going. They drive very fast in and out of their spots. The washroom facility is clean, but was too far away from where we were to use. There are plenty of washers and dryers in the laundromat, but they left our clothes smelling of dog. This did look like the best of the RV parks around this area. We would stay here again for a very short visit.

Rate reflects weekly rate. To call this a resort is a bit of a stretch. The office staff were very friendly. We noticed quite a bit of noise at night from the highway nearby. The washrooms and showers are in a trailer and are basic. The water is from a well and smells terrible, although they said it was fine for showering. We were given plenty of bottled water for drinking and cooking, and it was replaced whenever we needed. We were advised by the office and some of the residents not to use the laundry there as the clothes would be ruined. The garbage was picked up daily. The sites were gravel with a bit of grass near, were fairly level and wide. We stayed here as we wanted to tour around the Corpus Christi area, and it worked out well for our purpose. I would stay there again if the well water was better.

Rate reflects monthly rate. On the plus side, this park is wonderfully dark and quiet at night, and there was lots to do. We were put in circle #3 and we had the best time with the people in that circle. They were all super friendly and welcoming. It was very hard to leave them. On the negative side: our first site was underwater when it rained for 2 days, as was our tow vehicle, and other sites in this circle. We were unable to get out. When we asked to move to another site where it was dry, we ended up without power for a day and night as the breaker was gone. They did replace it quickly when we told them of the problem. The washrooms and showers were clean, but are terribly out of date. I don’t know how they got a good rating on them, as they are very sad. There were 3 instances of “illegals” in the park the month we were here. (The last time they came into the park they took some items from some rigs, to use to build a fort to hide in.) We did have a problem with the amount we were charged for electricity. Luckily we had taken pictures, with dates, of the readings when we went into and out of the 2 sites we had. It did take a bit of work to get the refund processed, but it was eventually done with apologies for the errors. We would stay here again.

The sites are very narrow, and it was difficult to fit our 43’ rig onto the concrete pad. We had to have one set of wheels off the pad. We looked in the washroom/shower combinations and decided not to use them as they were very old and looked awful. The internet was free, but we were not able to connect to the internet for 2 days. We were told at the office there wasn’t a problem with their internet, and finally on the 3rd day we got on and it was okay after that. Very nice staff and other RV’ers here were very friendly. We went for one of their park dinners and karaoke after and a breakfast put on by the park. There are many oil workers that live there. The laundry room on Sunday was very busy, wrong day for us to go, but the machines worked well. Very quiet park as most of the people are gone for the day and asleep at night. There was no noise from the highway. The park is not very close to anything, but within driving distance to the Alamo, River Walk, etc. We would definitely stay here again, especially as they honor PA for unlimited time. The price reflects PA rate.

Price reflects Good Sam discount. We called and were told we could have a site for 2 days, then the park was booked. We were told that their well was bad, not to use it for drinking or cooking and that we would be given a case of water when we checked in. It’s all oil workers here and they have cars/trucks all over the place. Difficult to get around corners. WiFi is free, but very on and off - mostly off. We went to office to ask if it was faster there and were told it should be the same all over the park. Staff didn’t seem concerned at all about the lack of internet. This park should only be used by the oil workers. We didn’t look at the washroom/shower facility as it was so cold out and we were too far away to go out in the icy weather. It’s a dirty, dusty park. I would not stay here again.

Staff at office were very friendly. Price reflects the PA discount, plus $3 for 50amp, plus $2/day for internet (which didn’t work). You need to give the office a deposit of $5.00 for the washroom/shower key. We looked at the facilities and decided we didn’t want to use them. There were very old and cramped and a long way from our site. We wanted to do some laundry and needed a key from the office to get in there too. We looked in the “laundry” room and decided we’d rather go into town to do laundry as there was only one washer and one dryer and they looked really old. The RV Park is miles away from town and then miles on a dirt road. It’s quiet and dark at night, but there’s nothing to do there. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Date of Stay:

One of the RV parks with the cleanest washroom/showers I’ve ever seen. The owner has a great sense of humor and is fun to talk to. Easy access to the park and the sites are large and flat. The locals and repeat RV’ers were very friendly. The internet was a bit extra in price, but worked really well for our 2 laptops. I would definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful place! The registration person was not very friendly, but everyone else that works here is. The roads are paved and very wide. Sites are level and very wide with concrete pads, wrought iron tables and chairs, and a paved drive in area for our tow vehicle. Washroom/shower combinations are very clean. Laundry worked fine and was coins. The Wi-Fi was free and was very fast. Citrus trees are placed in between the sites, and are kept trimmed and neat.

We had a very friendly reception at the office and they gave us a back in spot. But we couldn’t use it as the electric plug was located in the back of the spot and our cord didn’t reach. We paid extra and got a pull through spot that worked. Nice level gravel sites with concrete pads and picnic tables. The washroom/showers combinations were very, very old. Clean, but really outdated and very minimal amount of them. Quaint old office/recreation building, but had obvious leaking from the ceiling in some places. Wi-Fi was free, but really slow. Not much to do here. We had to leave 2 nights early and couldn’t get a refund on the weekly rate we’d paid. Not our kind of place.
