Hubinger Landing, Keokuk, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Basic water/electric parking lot campground. Three campground locations one north of Southside Boat Club (3 sites), two east(8 or 10 sites) and a somewhat woodsy area, (3 sites). Do not follow GPS that takes you to City Hall.

If coming from south, take first street on left (2nd or 1st Ave ) immediately past the bridge which traversesthe Mississippi River. Proceed a few blocks to Banks Street, turn left, go over railroad tracks, turn right.

If coming from the north turn right just before the bridge and follow the same directions. Check out which site you want. Pay at the bar in the Southside Boat Club. There are no reservations. The number at Southside is 319-524-7122. They were helpful with directions and basic availability questions.

This park is located directly on the river. Watching barges is interesting. A lot more tending by the city for cleanliness and upkeep would certainly improve ratings. Several workers had trailers in the middle park and were loud at 2 am returning from their shift. However, with all the railroad tracks across the street, that noise was minimal. I did not feel safe to walk my dog after dark, but no one bothered us except one loud mouth "barking" near us at 2 am. The park provided the over night stay we needed.

The signs at each campground only indicate charges: $16 regular, $14 seniors. No other information given. Electrical hookup box had several spider egg sacs. We had a 30 amp, 34' motorhome. Parallel parked in the middle campground immediately to right of the Southside Boat Club. We camped at Hubinger Landing in a Motorhome.

Fair Harbor RV Park, Perry, Georgia

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Enjoyed this park and agree with all the other positive reviews. Even got a "first timers" gift. We asked for a site facing North or East plus a pull thru and both requests were honored. A very helpful info sheet was supplied. Passport America states the discount doesn't apply if reservations are made. We didn't have reservations, and park was quite full. Still no problem getting a site. Check in was by a very pleasant, welcoming gentleman. Not mentioned in the other reviews is a gem of a little restaurant, Oil Lamp, a couple miles away. We'll stay here again. We camped at Fair Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Reelfoot Lake State Park, South Campground, Tiptonville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Exceptionally beautiful state park. Shade is plentiful. Site level,

Maybe a little narrow. Very well maintained. There are at least 2 sites that are full hook up-#2 & #3. Many sites right on the only natural lake in Tennessee with a fascinating history. We camped at Reelfoot Lake State Park, South Campground in a Motorhome.

Ozarks Mountain Springs RV Park, Mountain View, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

The folks who work here make this place extra special. We were led to our site, had complimentary breakfast prepared by the "granny in her jammies." Not just any breakfast but dropped biscuits, blueberry muffins and sausage gravy--all homemade plus fruit and beverages. Our site was level, shady with nice walking area for pets with baggies and cans provided for poo. Great for our overnight stay. We camped at Ozarks Mountain Springs RV Park in a Motorhome.
