Very small RV park at the edge of town, right on the river. Although I didn't use the showers I was not impressed with them. They are coin operated but in order to add extra coins it means having to leave your shower stall completely and walk over 6 feet to insert the coins. The shower area is only separated by a curtain in the large washroom building. This is not a quiet park as the sound of semi's whizzing down the highway kept me awake most of the night. The rate we paid was in Canadian dollars.

Date of Stay:

The Canadian rate including taxes & dog fees was a reasonable $36.00. Wifi is stable & quite fast compared to other parks we've stayed at. Slightly out of town but good signage on the highway. GOOD news is this campground is open YEAR round!!

Date of Stay:

Walking distance to downtown Nakusp. We stayed in the lower level for 2 nights in early November. We didn't have cable or wifi available ( they turn it off during the winter ). This suited as just fine as we were there for a relaxing unplugged mini holiday. We did have water, sewer & electricity though. Nakusp Hot Springs was a quick 10 minute drive away. Would definitely visit this campground again !!

The nightly rate reflects our Good Sam discount for a month's stay. The park is very friendly with lots of activities to choose from. This park is now a privately owned park that has had lots of upgrades. Only reason I rate it a 9 is because there is no cable & the wi-fi was awesome until the park starting filling up; then the speed slogged right down, but for emails it was more than adequate. I would be willing to pay a bit extra to have the cable & DSL internet connection at my site. The new pool area & washrooms were spacious & even the older washrooms were super clean. The gym was spacious & bright with state of the art equipment. Dog walking area was spacious & well looked after as well. Definitely will consider staying there again.

This rate was based on a weekly rate with our BCAA card. The internet was free courtesy KOA and Tengo. Now I'm normally not a fan of Tengo, but this park had numerous towers through out the park, which made for a fairly decent speed and signal strength. The park borders on a nice river walk park, which was nice to take the dog out for a walk. The Hot tub was operational though we didn't use it. The location is very convenient to the downtown SLC and the temple.

We were very loyal Sam's Town campers until this trip. The noise level this time was unbearable. (Located very close to Boulder Hwy.) There were a couple of issues in the park that the local police, and ambulances ended up attending to. BUT the main reason was the internet. Tenago was absolutely terrible big time!! When we complained to the office, all he could say was: "The hotel is looking into finding a different provider. Sorry." The whole, open sewer hookups were more gross this time around. Needless to say we had planned on a week here, but left after one night.

We camped here for 2 weeks, and the nightly rate is based on the weekly rate of $168. The internet is FREE, is fast and reliable!! Washrooms are more like en suites with shower, sink and toilet in one room. They are clean, large and they actually have one with a bathtub!
