Key Largo Kampgrounds and Marina, Key Largo, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

A very old, decrepit park with miserable support staff at the front desk. Complaints were handled with resentment. It's wide open for what they call "Weekend Warriors" that is, those who come from Miami on the week end to run wild and make noise. Security? What a joke!! The rentals are not overseen, and ours was infested with bugs and mould. Unfriendly, unclean and smelly from a sewage plant. You can do much better! We camped at Key Largo Kampgrounds and Marina in a Travel Trailer.

Calusa Campground Resort and Marina, Key Largo, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

After staying at another Key Largo Campground and leaving before our stay was up, we found Calusa to be a welcome surprise. Clean, well kept, with a gorgeous new salt water pool and marble showers and ample laundry. Sure the folks speak Spanish but where don't they in the Keys?? They're a fun loving and sometimes a little loud group, but we loved it so much, we are back again. Security is tight and shopping is close by. We camped at Calusa Campground Resort and Marina in a Motorhome.
