Lyman Run State Park, Galeton, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here to visit the observation field at Cherry Springs. This park helped because the ranger station at the park is the same one for cherry springs so we got weather updates and visibility reports. There is No cell service or TV signal in this park which made the ranger station that much more useful when planning our nightly trip to stargaze. The bathrooms were clean and the ranger was helpful. We will definitely stay here again. Even though the sites are small we had no issue maneuvering around the campground or setting up in the site. We camped at Lyman Run State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Candy Hill Campground, Winchester, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Price reflects a Good Sam weekend with extra activities. The campground was well maintained with a lot of things for my kids to do. The bathrooms were clean but dated, but worked great. The site we stayed in was very small I wasn't able to park my truck at the site with my trailer I had to park in the grass across the street. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Cable was snowy and difficult to watch with limited channels. The extra activities that were included weren't worth the extra money, but that isn't totally the fault of the campground. I would stay here again just not for a Good Sam weekend. We camped at Candy Hill Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Keystone State Park, Derry, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a quiet peaceful campground. Sites are secluded and mostly private. The campground host was pleasant and helpful. The worst part to this campground is how far away the swimming area and playground is to the campsites. There is a small store at the beach that sells ice-cream and food but it wasn't open. We would stay here again. We camped at Keystone State Park in a Travel Trailer.
