Mill Creek Camping COE, Berlin Center, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park only four stars on cleanliness because of the limited restrooms. The toilet only buildings available we just so-so. Signage to the various camping areas/loops leaves much to be desired. We camped at Mill Creek Camping COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Findley State Park, Wellington, Ohio

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $23.00

Nice park with lots to do. Some spots may be a bit tight as interior roads are narrow. Good kayaking and biking. We camped at Findley State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Neat little places in Wellington just a bit north of the park. Dimitri's is a good place for late lunch - big local crowds at noon.

West Branch State Park, Ravenna, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with lots to do. Park was laid out by the US Army Corps of Engineers so lots of space between sites, but as the park has been around for sometime roads can be narrow and backing into some spots with a larger rig can present a challenge. Staff is very helpful. We had a 'beach' area very close to our site and we were able to launch our kayaks in a little cove right behind our site. We camped at West Branch State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you just want to stay in the park, fine, but park is very close to other activities including the Aurora Outlets, lots of shopping.

Great area if you have a boat, kayak or canoe.

Ver-El Mobile Village, Concord, North Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Spent a week. A great place to use while visiting family in nearby Davidson. Friendly staff - helped set up and a great rate. We used to stay at Tom Johnson/Speedway but this place was less than half the cost for a week and we had grass. Great place to walk the dog. Not a destination park - except for race times - but a good spot to park and do day trips from. We camped at Ver-El Mobile Village in a Fifth Wheel.
