Dead Horse Point State Park, Moab, Utah

Best state park we ever camped in. Friendly park rangers, beautiful sites and awesome trails, both hiking and mountain biking. You have to bring water. We camped at Dead Horse Point State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Grants / Cibola Sands KOA, Grants, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The staff at this park went out of the way to make us feel welcome. Free breakfast and you can order dinner and have it delivered to your site. The big surprise was the lava fields in the area. My wife and I are outdoors people and there were many scenic views and trails in the area. Also neat to drive on Historic RT 66 in Grants. We camped at Grants / Cibola Sands KOA in a Travel Trailer.

McKinney Falls State Park, Austin, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Camped at this state park numerous times. Always friendly staff. Need to watch the trees if camping in a 5th wheel lots of low branches. It's also close to Austin if you want to go into town. We camped at McKinney Falls State Park in a Motorhome.

Colorado River Thousand Trails, Columbus, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $5.00
Overall Rating:

I'm a Thousand Trails member, this park is very nice with large sites. It is a typical thousand trails park. My only complaint is as a member I don't feel I should have to pay extra for a premium site. We camped at Colorado River Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.
