Sugar Hill RV Park, is a sister park to Poche Plantation & RV Park. It is located outside of Gonzales, which is basically in between the State's capital: Baton Rouge and the beautiful city of New Orleans. It is a neat, clean and very friendly park right along the Mississippi River. It is a definite stay if visiting in the area!!

Date of Stay:

I found an RV Park in Convent, Louisiana Just south of Gonzales for camping. It is close to my Work in Geismer and a really nice campground with great reviews. The park surrounds a plantation. The spacious lots ranging from I believe &450-$575 a month, or $40 a night. There's a pet walk, recreation center, which is open to everyone. I can't wait to visit in warmer weather, because the pool and hot tub area is beautiful!! The owner greeted me as I pulled in, he was hard at work painting, but he insisted on walking me through: my first!! Not only does he almost single handedly run not one, but two RV parks (Sugar Hill, being the second), he also owns the local newspaper (The Poche Post) and it caters to visitors with maps, lists of attractions & coupons. Very helpful. I don't travel often, being an older, single female, but I've never felt safer or more welcomed at a Park or anywhere for that matter. I will most definitely visit Poche Plantation And RV Park again, and encourage anyone visiting the area to do so too!!
