Land-O-Pines Family Campground, Covington, Louisiana

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice, older park that is way out in the woods so was very quite. The staff at the park were very friendly and helpful about the area. We were there for 5 nights and would recommend it to our friends and family. You have to be careful when picking a site. We lucked out with D54 because we had very heavy rains while there and our site didn't flood where most all the others were flooded. We camped at Land-O-Pines Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Shallow Creek Golf & RV Resort, Gladewater, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful campground. Well maintained, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. This was our 2nd time staying there and would highly recommend this campground to our friends and family. There are very long, wide concrete pads to park your rig and an attached pad for the picnic table. There is a wide well maintained grassy area between the sites. The roads in the park are well maintained. The entrance and exit into the park are one way and narrow so you have to be very careful when turning in and leaving the park. We camped at Shallow Creek Golf & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sandy Lake RV Park, Carrollton, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

It was okay for one night but very over priced. The campsites are extremely close together. The roads are in disrepair, rutted with potholes and most of the asphalt has eroded away to the point that it's more of a hazard than a help. There is barely enough room for your trailer or motorhome and almost impossible to squeeze in a truck pulling the trailer or your towed car. We would not stay at this campground again and would definitely not recommend it to friends and family. We camped at Sandy Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Shady Cove RV Park, Hattiesburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: December, 2012 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Old run down facilities. No one was in the office even though we were checking in during the posted office hours. The sites were okay, and it was like camping in an open field with hookups. There was something wrong with the electrical connection as it fried our 30 to 50 amp adapter. We were just stopping for the night or we would have found someplace else. We would not have felt comfortable leaving the motorhome unattended at this campground. We would not recommend this campground to anyone and would not stay here again. We camped at Shady Cove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Buffalo Bob's RV Park, Lawton, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second time staying here, and we love it. Nice wide clean pads with patio area with grassy areas between sites. We are far enough of the main road that we don't hear any traffic noises. The clubhouse is big and clean with a screened porch. The laundry room is clean with free washers and dryers. The management is friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this campground to our friends. It appears that a lot of the sites are occupied by people working temporarily in the area. We camped at Buffalo Bob's RV Park in a Motorhome.
