Apple Valley Travel Park, Hendersonville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This park is mostly permanent resident and temporary workers. The staff was friendly and helpful with information in the area. Would not recommend this park for Big Rigs 40 or over. Our 36ft motorhome was too large for most sites. We stayed here for a one night stop over on our way though N.C. Would consider staying again if in the area, but only as a stop over. We camped at Apple Valley Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Henderson Beach State Park, Destin, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

A wonderful state park to stay while visiting the area. Sites are large and because of how the sites are arranged give a great deal of privacy. Clean restrooms and showers. The staff was friendly and helpful. The registration office has binoculars for lending out at no cost. Cons are no sewage hookups, wi-fi or cable, but over all a nice place to stay. We will stay here whenever in the area. We camped at Henderson Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Suwannee River State Park, Live Oak, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

After reading some of the reviews we had mixed feelings, but it turned out to be a nice park. We stayed in site #22 which was a back in site. It had room enough for our 36 ft motor home and more. Our fire ring was clean as well as the rest of the site. Bathrooms were very clean and well maintained. Downside would be no cable and few sites with satellite clearance. Over all the campground is a small, rustic place with leisurely hiking trails and small craft boating. We enjoyed our visit and will stay again when in the area. We camped at Suwannee River State Park in a Motorhome.
