Sugar Sands RV Resort, Gulf Shores, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

The park seemed fairly new. It was easy to navigate and they even helped me back into my spot. The park was clean and very quite except the fact we were near the two lane road. The road was noisy and we heard cars all night. The pool was small but nice and the main building was large with lots of activities if you wanted to play games or entertain the kids. The park was close to track and close enough to the beach and restaurants. I would definitely stay hear again but I will try to get a spot near the back. We stayed at site 38. We camped at Sugar Sands RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Trackrock Campground & Cabins, Blairsville, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is not my first visit to this campground. We have had mostly good experiences in the past. This time we recieved and email the night before telling us our site number had been changed. No reason was given. We we arrived they still would not give us a reason for the change. We were assigned a new spot #23. My original site was a pull through. The new site was a back in that required about 180 degree change in direction. I asked if I could have the pull through next to me #24. I was told no it was reserved. No one showed for this campsite until the day before we left. At that time (monday) the campground was 95% empty. I accepted the lack of explanation because all the campgrounds in the area were full. I love the scenery of the campground but we are committed to not returning in the future. I will miss the good parts of the campground but I vote with my pocket book. We camped at Trackrock Campground & Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Chattahoochee Bend State Park, Newnan, Georgia

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This park is off the beaten path. A nice park with gravel parking with very wide campsites. There is plenty of room to spread out. Some of the timbers used to shape the campsite were warped and presented a tripping hazard. The campground was very quite and I will definitely stay here again. We had no service on our T-**bile cell phones. Our friends had AT&* with good service and good television reception. We camped at Chattahoochee Bend State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

McKaskey Creek COE, Cartersville, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is small with some tight turns. We stayed here during the week and the campground was nearly empty. The beach for the kids was nice and clean. Thursday and Friday it starting filling up and the quiet went away. The crowds also increased the demand on the shower facility. We would stay here again but I will be very selective of the campsite I choose. We camped at McKaskey Creek COE in a Travel Trailer.

Turner Campsites, Cleveland, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Pros: Friendly staff, beautiful area, fairly roomy campsites, sewage hookups at the campsites and fairly level. Cons: No fire rings on the sites that are not on the water, a very busy highway is 200 ft from campground and charges extra for more than 2 people. Overall I like the campground but the lack of fire rings in the off water sites forced us to stay on the water and pay extra (we needed the fire to cook). I will stay here again. We camped at Turner Campsites in a Travel Trailer.

Yogi Bear Jellystone Park, Bremen, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

This seems to be a new campground. This park is geared to kids. There are at least 3 or 4 playgrounds and 2 pools. Lots of animals including loose rabbits. My 4 year old LOVED this park. They have a small stocked pond. The staff was probably the nicest hardest working group I have seen. They were busy either cleaning or entertaining the entire time. We stayed in a tent. There is NO SHADE. I would have given it higher marks if the sites were paved and trees were bigger. We camped at Yogi Bear Jellystone Park in a Tent.

Trackrock Campground & Cabins, Blairsville, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the highest area of the campground. We had a roomy shaded site. The staff was VERY helpful when we locked our keys in car. There was a very interesting Bladsmithing festival going on. Some of the family rode horses. We LOVE this campground. The little one loved the playgrounds. If the sites were paved I would have given this campground a 10. We will be back soon. We camped at Trackrock Campground & Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Topsail Hill State Preserve, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is our favorite campground. The sites are level and the bathrooms are clean. I highly recommend everyone visit this place. The only knock is the 7/10 of a mile to the beach. You should bring bikes and a trailer. The tram is nice also. This campground is located nicely between Panama City beach and Destin. The crowds are small and the beach is dark at night not like in the city. We camped at Topsail Hill State Preserve in a Tent Trailer.

Blue Springs State Park, Clio, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice small park in rural Alabama. The camp host were extremely nice and helpful. The site we used was somewhat level. The bathrooms need some repair work. There is only one convenience store close by and two restaurants. The restaurants are closed on Sunday. We enjoyed playing in the natural springs. This is our second visit and we will be back again. We camped at Blue Springs State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Trackrock Campground & Cabins, Blairsville, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $24.00

This is a beautiful park. Great views and friendly people. This is the first privately owned campground we have stayed at. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the facilities. I would have given it a ten if they had concrete pads. I will stay here again. We camped at Trackrock Campground & Cabins in a Tent Trailer.

Oak Mountain State Park, Pelham, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2007 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed there 2 nights. The state park is huge. The campground has some improvements going on. The sights were level but the road pavement is broken in places. There were some permanent residence. The bathrooms were cleaned while we were there but they didn't stay clean long (because of the rain). The staff was mostly teenagers. The petting zoo at the park entrance was great for the little one! We would visit again. We camped at Oak Mountain State Park in a Tent Trailer.

John Tanner State Park, Carrollton, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second stay at this campground. We were surprised to find it was almost full when we arrived. The campground was kept neat and the staff was friendly. The lots are gravel and fairly level. The campground does have pull through sites but we had a back-in. Some of the sites are narrow and hard to back into for us rookies. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at John Tanner State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful park. We loved the volleyball nets and the paved walking track. The park seemed very well maintained. The turns inside the campground were very tight. We camped at John Tanner State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Topsail Hill State Preserve, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This park was beautiful. The grounds were clean and the facilities were spotless. I would have given this park a ten except the office staff could have been friendlier and more willing to enforce the campground rules. I would highly recommend this state park to everyone. We camped at Topsail Hill State Preserve in a Tent Trailer.
