Turtle Run Campground, Egg Harbor City, New Jersey

Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Yes, as prior postings say, this cg in under new ownership. This was our first visit and we enjoyed it. The buildings look nice with new siding, the baths were clean and looked as if they were recently renovated. They have a nice general store that had cold cuts available and all sorts of other items. The sites are a nice size and the seasonal campers are very friendly! Not like other places. Would definitely go back to this cg. We camped at Turtle Run Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Ross Hill Park Family Campground, Lisbon, Connecticut

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $38.00

I wish I had found this site before we made the trip. This cg is terrible. When you first come upon it you see a nice sign, then pull in to rolling green hills, then crappy buildings start to show up. As we found during our stay, they do nothing to this campground. The website is one big lie. Our sites were across from the year rounders, whose children were loud and noisy during morning quiet hour. We were eaten by mosquitoes on a daily basis. The swimming pond is pathetic. Thank God we were self-contained because the bathrooms were disgusting. This place is actually patched up as things break, you can see it everywhere. Its a shame too because the property (trees, grass, river) are beautiful. These owners simply don't care. We decided if we bought it we would begin renovations by demolishing everything and starting fresh! Ha! We camped at Ross Hill Park Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Spring Gulch Resort Campground, New Holland, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2006 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We love the sites at this cg! We were up on the mountain and the sites are beautiful. Nice size, gravel, plenty of privacy. We really enjoyed it here. The only drawbacks are walking up and down the mountain to get to the store or whatever is down below and the pool on the mountain is a little on the small side. But other than that it was very nice. We are definatley going back! We camped at Spring Gulch Resort Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Harpers Ferry / Civil War Battlefields KOA, Harpers Ferry, West Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2006 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We had a great time at this campground. We were here on a holiday weekend, so it was a little crowded. The sites are somewhat close together, but they are shaded. Our site was backed up against a trench that was from the Civil War. They actually have a little trail you can follow with signs posted along the way. We thought that was neat plus it gave us more privacy. We would definitely go back to this campground. Plus there is so much to do in the general area. We camped at Harpers Ferry / Civil War Battlefields KOA in a Tent Trailer.

Shenandoah Hills Campground, Madison, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2005 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very pretty cg. We were here in the fall and it was beautiful and quiet. Only complaints were the bathrooms. They were clean but they really need updating. Charlottesville is about 20 minutes away and Monticello is close by. So is Shenandoah National Park. The owner gives out a list of resurants in the area. Do try the pizza place. I can't remember the name, its right down the street. I had the best Shrimp and Broccoli there. Do not try the Porpoise Cafe! It was horrible! We would definitely go back to this campground. We camped at Shenandoah Hills Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Cherry Hill Park, College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: October, 2005 - $40.00

This is a nice cg, but you must be in an enclosed camper. At the time we were in a pop-up and this is no place for that. This cg is locatd practically on I-95. We couldn't get a good nights sleep because of the never ending noise from the highway. But other than that, this cg is nice. The bath houses were some of the cleanest and nicest we've seen. Also you are so close to DC! Just a 20 minute drive and you in! We will definitely go back! We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Tent Trailer.
