Catherine's Landing, Hot Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

This park is the best in every way. Easy to find, excellent roads, and only 4 miles to the town of Hotsprings. We got a site on the river, beautiful view, shade trees all along the river sites. All the sites have plenty of room, with level pads. The place was maintained, looking new. The pool was inviting but a little cold for us. We even played on the 9 hole disc golf course they have, and saw some deer! All the people working here were very helpful. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Travel Trailer.

Air Capital RV Park, Wichita, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Air capital is just a parking lot, with trailers stacked as close together as possible. Management is OK, they point you in the right direction. Wifi did not work for us, like most places it depends on where you are parked. It is a downtown location, so if you'r here to see Wichita its hard to beat the local, otherwise not much of a vacation site. We camped at Air Capital RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort, Casper, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The park is on the "rivers edge", there are no RV's on the river but there is a very nice grassy area from the river, maybe 30 yards back to the RV area, a nice setup. The RV area however is a big ugly field of shale that turns into a milky white mud with a little rain. RV's are nicely spaced, trees are now 3 ft. tall and someday will give shade, just not in the near future. There is a train nearby that at 2 in the morning has a horn warning everyone within a 100 miles that it is coming. The wifi works only if you sit on the very nice office patio. Maybe a stopover but this place is no more than that for us. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Ponderosa Campground, Cody, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This park has a great location, next to the city park, with great walkways and bike paths and a big lake. Not part of the campground but a real asset, and only 2 miles from downtown. The sites at the park, however, are very tight together. Sewer lines from the site next door are in your tiny area. There is lots of shade from mature trees and the management is very helpful. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Spearfish City Campground, Spearfish, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park is beautiful and well maintained and walking distance to the real city park which is also beautiful. There are walking and bike riding paths and a stream running thru it. At least once a week evening entertainment in the park. Great location and the city of Spearfish is interesting. We camped at Spearfish City Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Sioux Falls KOA, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This place was a great value, although our site was intially to close to the road and road noise, they moved us with no problem to a site farther away from the road, even tho they were very busy with check in's. The sites were gravel, but level and ours had shade. The place is very convenient to the downtown area and everyone was very helpful. We camped at Sioux Falls KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Cave Country RV Campground, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

check in was efficient and cold. The place is very clean and the grounds are manicured, level sites with plants and grass and even a few trees. Wifi was spotty at best, the owner says it depends on how tall the RV is that's parked next to you! Noise, the train tracks are right there, and loud, the road noise is also there and loud. We stayed here 3 days and the noise stayed with us. Close to everything in the small town, we saw the sights and got on our way. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

French Broad River Campground, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

this place has no class at all, but you do park right next to the river, and that says a lot. It also is only 6 miles to downtown Ashville, which says it has a good location. there is only one way in and one way out, so depending on which site you get you need to plan your escape. The location of the train tracks was however, extraordinary. I've never seen tracks that close to a river. Thankfully it was on the other side of the river, but the tracks must be ancient because the trains ran slower than 5 MPH, screeching all the way. loud, but only several times a day & night. The place was at capacity and the kids in the water were having a good time, so, it was a good location. We camped at French Broad River Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Wassamki Springs, Scarborough, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This camp is close to Portland, about 8 miles away, and if you get a lake front site, which we had, there is a nice view, that's the good part.

The sites however are bad for leveling, ours was the worst I've ever seen. Took a couple of 2x6's on one side to get us straight. All the sites look bad,o just dusty dirt, NO grass, and to many trees, so many trees the sun could never get thru and maneuvering on the narrow dusty roads was tough.

What they call a clubhouse is a small dirty shack, and unless you're at the shack, the wifi at our site was terrible. Being on the flight path for Portland airport is not

pleasant either, loud planes overhead every morning and evening. At least half of the camp is rundown seasonal trailers and lots of kids.

They did seem to enjoy swimming in the lake, probably because it is only knee deep everywhere,at least the beach area was clean.

We were there because of the location to Portland. We camped at Wassamki Springs in a Travel Trailer.

Meadowlark Park, Middletown, Rhode Island

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

This is a bad place in so many ways. The sites are used mostly by old run down seasonal trailers. No sites are level. The rear of my trailer was 3 feet higher than the front in order to be level. All picnic tables are covered in black mold and the grass was high and patchy. No showers or bathrooms, or dog walk. There is a big open field but dogs are not allowed, no reason, just not allowed. They ONLY except cash! The only reason to be here is the location to Newport. Management's knowledge of this can only be their excuse for being so aloof and rude. We camped at Meadowlark Park in a Travel Trailer.

Seaport RV Resort, Old Mystic, Connecticut

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

We liked this camp very much for the easy acess and the close location to Mystic, what a great little town. Wish we could have stayed longer but did not have a reservation, they were full and we only got 2 nights, and had to move to a different site each of those nights. Anyway the pool was nice and clean, as was the entire place. Always a representative cruising around to help, and the front desk did help us as much as they could to get us in. Sites were gravel with very little shade but were mostly level. We would stay here again. Maybe on our way back to Florida later in the summer. We camped at Seaport RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Raleigh Oaks RV Resort, Four Oaks, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Great location to #95, easy access and quiet. Friendly and helpful, escorted to the site with advice to use water restrictor. Later a problem with breaker switch was fixed immediately. The club house and 2 pools are excellent and very well maintained. Sites are all pull thru, gravel, no shade and very little grass but adequate. We camped at Raleigh Oaks RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This park is to close to the hwy. Bad road noise and the guy behind the desk is rude. If you can put up with that everything else is ok. Shaded sites, fairly level, and 12 miles to town. We camped at Asheville West KOA in a Motorhome.

Bald Mountain Camping Resort, Hiawassee, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful resort, a little to far out of town for us but very we'll maintained. Our only complaint, no help at check in. This resort is huge, can't possible see location for any of the sites, we were told, go ahead, walk. They need a golf cart and maybe even someone willing to show you around. It is a nice place, all site are level, some have trees. A seasonal camper we happened to meet showed us around on his personal cart. Nice residents anyway! Riverside Campground, Abingdon, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We loved our stay here & management was helpful & friendly. Location is great, we had a riverfront site for our week long stay. There are many seasonal trailers here and they are reasonably neat & tidy. The new owner here has come in after the place had been closed for a time and has done a good job of turning the place around. There was entertainment here on the weekend & lots of family's having fun. We plan on returning next year because of its proximity to the town of abingdon, great little town! We camped at Riverside Campground in a Travel Trailer.
