Flintlock Campground, Boone, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

very friendly front desk check in. Only one way in or out and its a tight S turn and very steep all the way to the road. Sites were OK, all gravel, small concrete slab, a little close and your tow vehicle must park on the drive in front. Lots of shade, but road noise is bad! Good local, only 6 miles to town. Because the sites are close together the fire ring is close to neighbors, we were concerned enough to not use it. We camped at Flintlock Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Oak Hollow Family Campground, High Point, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The only sites that are level are the ones with 50 amp power because they are in the only paved area, all site in a row, no trees and VERY close together. Also the sewer hook ups are to high for gravity to work, and the electric poorly located so that we could just reach it. Every site there was occupied, as it was a holiday week-end, and we've never been so close to our neighbor. After the holiday they thinned out, not as crowded. The rest of the sites are in the wooded area and obviously not level at all. Other than the sites the park is very nice, with covered picnic tables next to the lake and all areas very well maintained. The park includes tennis courts and a boat launching place that rents boats & boards. The park is about 6 miles from town, and the wifi worked well. We camped at Oak Hollow Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Riverbend Campground, Hiawassee, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is the type of place we would truely return. All the sites are level and maintained. Plenty of room between each site and trees to shade everyone. Grass between the sites is cut and neat and each has a fire ring. Front desk is busy but always time for you. Bike trail along the stream that runs thru the park and dogs are welcome. Wifi works very well and the cable is good too. Convenient to downtown Hiawassee yet peaceful and quiet. Our back grassed area was big enough for 4 playing Bocci ball! We stayed 8 days and wish we had arranged for more. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Keowee Falls RV Park, West Union, South Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Most of the sites are used by annual residents. They are tucked into a hillside going down to the lake. Older rigs that have obviously been there quite a while, would be a real challenge to move them. plenty of shade trees, very little grass. The only sites available to rent are a long way from the lake, and they all look a little shoddy. The entire place, maybe 100 sites are maintained by one guy, a really nice, helpful guy, but way more then he should be doing. no wifi, no cable, one dumpster for garbage 1/4 mile away. The place just needs some cleaning up, general maintenance. We camped at Keowee Falls RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Travelers Rest / N Greenville KOA, Travelers Rest, South Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

This is for sure one of the best parks we have ever used! They greeted us as we arrived! and then escorted us to the site and helped us back in, showed us every thing, just over the top greeting. The place is as clean as can be, all gravel roads and sites. Never a problem with water, and it rained a lot during our stay. Plenty of shade, and quite. The location is great, 6 miles from Travelers Rest downtown, 17 miles to Greenville and surrounded by several other small interesting towns. We arrived planning on staying 4 days and stayed for 10. We camped at Travelers Rest / N Greenville KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Springwood RV Park, Greenville, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

checked in on a sunday, no one there but they left detailed info on which site to use, very easy, no problems. The site was level, and most of the other site looked equally level. There are many full timers here but the place is kept pretty clean and tidy with plenty of shade trees. wifi worked well and we got a few stations on the TV. The place is about 10 miles from downtown Greenville. There is a train, we heard it once, they say it passes thru 3-5 times a week. Easy access to the camp and when we did meet management they were helpful and friendly. We liked the place. We camped at Springwood RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A Big Wheel RV Park, Saint Marys, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Place hasn't changed. Been here before and it's always been good. Rained here pretty hard the evening we arrived but the area drained quickly and all is good. Front office friendly and helpful. Park is convenient to down town St Mary which is a very nice little town and worth a visit. Our 2 night stay went well, as usual, and we will return again. We camped at A Big Wheel RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Catherine's Landing, Hot Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

This park is the best in every way. Easy to find, excellent roads, and only 4 miles to the town of Hotsprings. We got a site on the river, beautiful view, shade trees all along the river sites. All the sites have plenty of room, with level pads. The place was maintained, looking new. The pool was inviting but a little cold for us. We even played on the 9 hole disc golf course they have, and saw some deer! All the people working here were very helpful. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Travel Trailer.

Air Capital RV Park, Wichita, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Air capital is just a parking lot, with trailers stacked as close together as possible. Management is OK, they point you in the right direction. Wifi did not work for us, like most places it depends on where you are parked. It is a downtown location, so if you'r here to see Wichita its hard to beat the local, otherwise not much of a vacation site. We camped at Air Capital RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort, Evansville, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The park is on the "rivers edge", there are no RV's on the river but there is a very nice grassy area from the river, maybe 30 yards back to the RV area, a nice setup. The RV area however is a big ugly field of shale that turns into a milky white mud with a little rain. RV's are nicely spaced, trees are now 3 ft. tall and someday will give shade, just not in the near future. There is a train nearby that at 2 in the morning has a horn warning everyone within a 100 miles that it is coming. The wifi works only if you sit on the very nice office patio. Maybe a stopover but this place is no more than that for us. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Ponderosa Campground, Cody, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This park has a great location, next to the city park, with great walkways and bike paths and a big lake. Not part of the campground but a real asset, and only 2 miles from downtown. The sites at the park, however, are very tight together. Sewer lines from the site next door are in your tiny area. There is lots of shade from mature trees and the management is very helpful. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This RV park is beautiful and well maintained and walking distance to the real city park which is also beautiful. There are walking and bike riding paths and a stream running thru it. At least once a week evening entertainment in the park. Great location and the city of Spearfish is interesting. We camped at Spearfish City Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Sioux Falls KOA, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This place was a great value, although our site was intially to close to the road and road noise, they moved us with no problem to a site farther away from the road, even tho they were very busy with check in's. The sites were gravel, but level and ours had shade. The place is very convenient to the downtown area and everyone was very helpful. We camped at Sioux Falls KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Cave Country RV Campground, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

check in was efficient and cold. The place is very clean and the grounds are manicured, level sites with plants and grass and even a few trees. Wifi was spotty at best, the owner says it depends on how tall the RV is that's parked next to you! Noise, the train tracks are right there, and loud, the road noise is also there and loud. We stayed here 3 days and the noise stayed with us. Close to everything in the small town, we saw the sights and got on our way. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

French Broad River Campground, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

this place has no class at all, but you do park right next to the river, and that says a lot. It also is only 6 miles to downtown Ashville, which says it has a good location. there is only one way in and one way out, so depending on which site you get you need to plan your escape. The location of the train tracks was however, extraordinary. I've never seen tracks that close to a river. Thankfully it was on the other side of the river, but the tracks must be ancient because the trains ran slower than 5 MPH, screeching all the way. loud, but only several times a day & night. The place was at capacity and the kids in the water were having a good time, so, it was a good location. We camped at French Broad River Campground in a Travel Trailer.
