Cane Creek Park, Waxhaw, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Nice county park on a small lake with a lot of recreational opportunities. The interior roads have numerous speed humps that can drag on campers. Rangers were friendly. Camp store was open during limited hours. We camped at Cane Creek Park in a Motorhome.

We had a gravel back in site along the seawall with full hookup. Close to downtown with a good view of the river. Check in was quick and helpful. We camped at Downtown Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Pines RV Park and Campground, Columbus, Georgia

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The park is located in a nice wooded area close to downtown Columbus GA and Fort Benning. The campground is mostly gravel with a lot of full time residents. The only bathhouse was pretty run down. The power, water and sewer worked fine. The off air TV signals were pretty good as well as the Verizon 4G coverage. However Wifi was not very good with limited bandwidth. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

We stopped here to visit the National Civil War Naval Museum in downtown Columbus. This is a very interesting museum in that it covers the navies of both the Union and the Confederacy and the battles they fought.

Three Oaks and a Pine, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Close to downtown New Orleans, this campground has large sites with full hookups. There are new bathrooms, excellent security and good WiFi. The manager lives on site and was extremely helpful. The only negative was the campground was located next to a rail yard and there was some occasional noise from the trains. We always run a fan at night for 'white noise' and this eliminated the problem. We camped at Three Oaks and a Pine in a Motorhome.

Natchez Trace RV Park, Tupelo, Mississippi

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Since we were using a Passport America discount we couldn't make a reservation. When we arrived we asked for a site with full hookups but the site that was available only had water and electricity. Campground has a lot of full time campers and there seems to be a lot of traffic in and out. Grounds are nice and close to Tupelo and the Natchez Trace Parkway. We camped at Natchez Trace RV Park in a Motorhome.

Camelot RV Park, Malabar, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is a really nice clean park with friendly and helpful staff. The campers are also friendly and there are lots of daily activities. The restrooms and showers are some of the best we have ever seen. The only downside to the park is the short term sites are small and close together. We camped at Camelot RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tomoka State Park, Ormond Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

A sign at the entrance says "Welcome to the real Florida." This accurately describes this park. Most campsites seemed to be jungle clearings with lush vegetation all around. You will have a hard time even seeing your neighbors. The restrooms were modern and kept clean by a large group of friendly volunteers. There are numerous walking trails and a really 'get back to nature' feel from a park that is only 3 miles from all the tourist sites in Daytona Beach. We camped at Tomoka State Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Aire RV Park & Campground, Hollywood, South Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This was a nice park with friendly staff close to Charleston SC (17 miles to downtown). The roads are gravel and the sites are mixture of grass and gravel. The place was not crowded but there appeared to be plenty of room between sites. The restrooms were older but extremely clean. Rate reflects weekly PA. We camped at Lake Aire RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

River Town Campground, Vicksburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground close to Vicksburg MS and museums and shopping. Sites were gravel and relatively level. Restrooms were OK and laundry was nice. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The only complaint is the local police set up a speed trap near the campground at night and use their sirens occasionally. Would stay there again. We camped at River Town Campground in a Motorhome.

Shady Acres Campground, Mobile, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Nice older style RV park with lots of shade trees. The staff is very friendly, and the location is close to downtown Mobile and within easy driving distance to Dauphin Island. Park is quiet except when the Navy jets are practicing their touch and goes at the nearby airport. Would definitely stay here again when visiting the area. We camped at Shady Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Hoover RV Park, Hoover, Alabama

Date of Stay: February, 2013 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

As the other reviews have stated, this a stadium parking lot. They have full hookups but no bathroom or showers available. It is not easy to find, but they do have signs directing you to the RV Lot once you find the stadium. We stayed here for two nights to visit the Barber Motorsports Museum which was about 20 miles away. The area felt safe other than the hunters in the surrounding woods and the occasional shotgun blast. We camped at Hoover RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park with friendly staff. Located between RV dealer and a Camping World. There is a large mall nearby with good access to downtown. Sites are level with easy hookup. The showers are clean but a little small. Would stay there again. We camped at Two Rivers Campground in a Motorhome.
