Wilmington KOA, Wilmington, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago. We had asked for a back-in away from others because our dogs bark at passers-by. That was accommodated and it was shady to boot. Everything was very clean. We had help from the staff in backing in and they picked up garbage bags in front of our unit several times a day. Didn't use the pool because it rained so much when we were there, but it was very clean. Free paper and coffee in the morning. A little pricey, but I've paid as much for much less to offer. Also so convenient to restaurants, grocery, and nearby sights. I would definitely recommend it. The only thing I wish they could do is put in a walking trail around the woods surrounding it to have a better place to walk dogs. They did have a nice dog park, but walking is better. We camped at Wilmington KOA in a Motorhome.

Skidaway Island State Park, Savannah, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is the nicest state park I've ever seen. We were only here one night and it was cold and rainy so we didn't get to explore the whole park. But the trails I did go on were very nice and well maintained. The site was huge, level, with pea gravel boxed in 'patios'. It was in the full hookup section that had everything, including cable. Definitely want to come back again for a longer visit. The price I listed is approximate. We camped at Skidaway Island State Park in a Motorhome.

Fort McAllister State Park, Richmond Hill, Georgia

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The site we had was very big with a great view of the marsh. We only stayed one night as we were travelling through so I'm not sure about all the amenities. The camp host was very helpful, coming out to show me where the waste cans were when she saw me wandering around with a bag of garbage! We camped at Fort McAllister State Park in a Motorhome.

Rock Crusher Canyon RV Park, Crystal River, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very pretty park with lush vegetation and very clean. The only problem was that we got there later (around 4:30)than we'd planned and since they don't reserve specific sites we were crammed into a back in site that was way too small width-wise for our MH. The larger sites are reserved for those who come for a month or two which is understandable. The next morning we tried to move but the park was full. If our site was better I'd give them a 10. The pool was gorgeous, heated, and very clean. I'd stay again, but my advice is to get there as early in the day as you can. We camped at Rock Crusher Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Croft State Natural Area, Spartanburg, South Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

This park is only an hour from our home so several times we have driven here for a weekend getaway. I think it has a very nice view of the lake and, while the sites aren't huge, I can get our 34' in OK. There are more walking trails than I can get to with the dogs and, while I don't have a bike, there are plenty of paved private roads to ride on. There are two areas of the camp; one mainly for people who bring their horses and then the other 'Lake Loop' is more for RV'ers with a much better view. I would definitely recommend the park and hope to go there again soon. We camped at Croft State Natural Area in a Motorhome.
