Tremont Outdoor Resort, Townsend, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is a decent park. Hookups work well, but 50 amp sites are minimal and are mostly by the road. Cell service is extremely poor, and you have to use the park's Internet. Over all, we felt it was overpriced at $60 a night. There are a couple of things you may want to be aware of before considering this park. First, our GPS advised us we were over weight when we crossed their bridge, and we only have a 32' class A with toad. Second, management has a no refund policy period. My mother passed away in Colorado, which necessitated our leaving a day early. The manager, apparently the only person who can waive the no refund policy, refused to talk to us. Finally, do not expect guests to visit while you are at the park unless you want to pay $3 per person for the "privilege" of entering the park. We will never return to this park, although we will return to Townsend. We camped at Tremont Outdoor Resort in a Motorhome.

Granite Corner RV Park, Walden, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is the nicest park in Walden and is located in a residential neighborhood. It is well maintained; sites are long, level gravel; the owners are very nice and welcoming; and the neighbors in the nearby homes are friendly. Because of it's size, there are no restroom/shower facilities or laundry. Due to the irrigation of nearby hay fields this time of year, the mosquitos can be bad. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Granite Corner RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake John Resort, Walden, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The previous review is much too generous. This place is beyond a dump! The "park" is located 15 miles northwest of Walden on a narrow, poorly maintained road. The entire place is absolutely filthy. The "pull through" sites are not only overgrown with weeds but are unusable as you would high center your rig if you tried to pull through. For those of you who remember Deliverance, this place is the western version! If we could give it a less than zero rating, we would have done so. We did NOT stay here, but passed through and returned to Walden. We camped at Lake John Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Great park and great value. New owners have made a huge improvement to the park. Grounds are immaculate. Sites are spacious and level. Staff is wonderful. People are friendly and lots of activities are available. This is our third visit to the park, and we will definitely be back! We camped at Casa Grande RV Resort in a Motorhome.
