Beachcomber Campground, Ocracoke, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Sites with water and electricity make for much nicer camping during hot weather. Dump station on site. Comfortable size sites, quiet even with live music next door since the music ended at 10 pm. Walking distance to everywhere in the village. Nice fence with places to put up a line for wet towels, etc. Site was not pull through, but large enough to back in easily. Open year around. We camped at Beachcomber Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Montebello Camping & Fishing Resort, Montebello, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Nice quiet wooded site with easy access. Park is very clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful. Very relaxing! A few miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Note that there is no cell phone coverage or wireless access. Not a problem, but something to be aware of. So, if you every want the perfect spot to get away from it all and chill out, this is it! We camped at Montebello Camping & Fishing Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Swinging Bridge RV Resort, Byram, Mississippi

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Parked recommended by the nearby RV place doing some repair work for us. Nice pull-ins and friendly office staff. Quiet except for the trains coming past regularly but we quickly got used to that. Best part of this park was the fact that it was easy walking distance to a small strip shopping center with 3 restaurants. We camped at Swinging Bridge RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Safe Harbor RV Park, Riverside, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $25.00

Called ahead and the owner told me how to register on the "honor system." Still, finding a site was a little confusing since there are two sections. We were only staying overnight so picked the top section next to the office and road. The park was almost full and it seemed there were mostly longer term campers. Easy hookup and quiet. Well, except for the trains which weren't that often. Road noise was less than expected. A good quick in and out spot for us. We camped at Safe Harbor RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
