Pataha Creek RV Park, Pomeroy, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in a 40 ft 5th wheel. The sites have a patch of grass, a concrete patio with table, and they have some elbow room. The park isn't heavily used unless there is a local event going on. Excellent Verizon 4G service which gave me good private Internet service with a Jetpack. Pomeroy has no cable service so either bring a satellite hookup or movies to watch ;0). I was not able to pick up the Lewiston, ID TV station by antennae but I may not have gotten the antenna turned correctly? Highway 12 is somewhat close but I did not notice excessive traffic noise. Access to 121 Port Way is convenient & easy (first turn west of U. S. Forest Service Administration Building on Main Street west of Pomeroy). There is overflow parking in an empty lot right next to the park. We camped at Pataha Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Pomeroy has a grocery store and other basic needs for shopping but is a small town and doesn't have 24/7 services. If you need more, then the closest town is Clarkston, WA 30 miles East of Pomeroy.

New Frontier RV Park, Winnemucca, Nevada

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon for an overnight stay. The office was closed with a msg to call the posted number. We did, and all was handled easily & smoothly with password info and receipts emailed to me. Nearby Wingers Grill & Bar makes for a quick place to eat an evening meal so you don't have to dirty up the kitchen. I used my Verizon internet with good signal. We would stay here again. We camped at New Frontier RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Desert Gardens RV Park (55+ park), Florence, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived in mid December and didn't realize that the office closed at 4pm and that no one is allowed to park after dark. We made it in by the skin of our teeth and the escort was very friendly and helped us get parked. The lots are Huge and it is very well maintained. The park is surrounded by desert and Saguaro cactus with some very nicely maintained walking paths around the perimeter of the park. Good Verizon cell service nearby. The general atmosphere is pretty laid back and you can be as busy or as relaxed as you choose to be. We came here for 4 months knowing that we would be approached about buying a lot and were fully prepared to just say no. We were greeted by a welcoming committee a couple of days after we arrived and we had a very casual appointment with the owner about a week later. He gave us info about the co-op and said to let him know if we were interested in buying a spot then went on to just visit with us for about an hour. No pressure and we were not made to feel unwelcome if we chose to remain renters. Bottom line is that we fell in love with the place and did purchase (after 45 days) a lease on a lot. The park occupancy is about 1/3 owners and 2/3 renters. We camped at Desert Gardens RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Flag City RV Resort, Lodi, California

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Park was easy on and off of I-5. Long pull through sites and very level; wouldn't have needed to unhook except it was easier to fuel up nearby. Grass strip between sites with trees that will be pretty when leafed out. Verizon signal at 4 bars. Not necessarily a destination park but there does appear to be a number of touristy things to do within the area. We would stop here again. We camped at Flag City RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Jelly Belly Factory tours at Fairfield about 40 miles away. Brochure mentions other activities in the area. In the future, I will plan to take a little more time here to check some of those things out.

Premier RV Resorts of Eugene Oregon, Coburg, Oregon

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park and very friendly & helpful staff. Easy off & on I-5. Close to I-5 so there was road noise but not bad enough to be a problem. Sites were level with small patios and grassy areas between sites making for a very roomy feeling. Sites are angled to give feeling of more privacy between RVs. Verizon signal was 3 bars. We camped at Premier RV Resorts of Eugene Oregon in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Camping World is right across the freeway. There is a small shopping mall over there, too. Also across the freeway is the Hop Valley Brewing Co at 980 Kruse Way, Springfield - an excellent place to eat. There is a Fuel N Go next to the park that is open 24/7 for Propane, Diesel, or Gas.

Premier RV Resorts of Redding , Redding, California

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park just north of town and just far enough away from I-5 to eliminate road noise. Easy off and on of I-5. Pretty Setting. Pull thru sites long enough for our 35 ft. 5th wheel & long pickup with some footage to spare. Grassy area between sites gives a little more elbow room than the average park. Verizon service good with 3 bars - I use my own Wi-Fi hot spot. Staff was very friendly. We stayed 2 nights and would stay here again. We camped at Premier RV Resorts of Redding in a Fifth Wheel.

Scotty's RV Park, Hawthorne, Nevada

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Park is behind Scotty's and the NAPA store & isn't much to look at but it works fine for an overnight stop. Check in was easy & friendly. We did have to move sites as the cable was bad in the 1st one but worked fine in the 2nd. Close together but easy in-easy out pull through sites. We stayed hooked up over night and were pretty level. There is a little Chinese restaurant within easy walking distance. Diesel fuel available at Scotty's mini-mart. Price is before the Good Sam discount. We camped at Scotty's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Winnemucca RV Park, Winnemucca, Nevada

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Gent at the registration desk was friendly & helped us with setup and provided helpful info about fuel stations and eating options in the area. Park is easy in-easy out pull thru sites. Cable TV is good. Sites are pretty close together for my taste, but we are only staying one night. Former guests didn't pick up after their pets. Wi-Fi was offered, but I have a Verizon hotspot which seems slow even with 4G & 3-4 bar service. Price is after Good Sam discount & before taxes. We camped at Winnemucca RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
