We are here right now and would very much recommend this park. It's quiet, I feel safe here, and it is only about a 15 minute straight shot to downtown. We looked at several Parks and we were very nervous about staying in New Orleans because every park seemed to not be in the greatest locations or there are several located close to a major rail switching yard which we felt would have interrupted our sleep. This is not a 5 star resort if that is what you are looking for but it has full hook ups 30 or 50 amp service, cable, WiFi (if you are close to the office). Cable is available and this park is in a safe area of town. The owner couldn't be nicer and goes out of his way to help you with anything that you need and keeps a very close eye on the Park.

This is a very nice resort. If I had to say anything negative for us we like fire pits and this park does not have them but they do allow you to have your own. The Winter weekly rates are presently $220.00 a week plus a $24.20 Lodging tax. The monthly rate is going up to $750 from $600 for next year 2017 Winter rates just FYI. They are building a second Bath/Laundry facility and suppose to be putting the top coat of Asphalt on the roads this summer. The outer ring of the park are the nicest sites. You have your own site. The inner circle you butt up to another camper at your rear. All sites have very nice level concrete pads large enough to park 2 vehicles. 22 X 60. Each site has a picnic table. Propane is available on site. Very nice clubhouse with lots of activities.

This park is owned by the city so it is open to the public. People come mostly fish. The problem is they do not abide the posted 10 mph speed limit. It is a real problem. No one from the park enforces the speed limit or any other rules as far as that goes. They stayed in the office. We never saw them out in the park at all. There is also a train that wraps around the entire park that goes through a lot during the day and twice in the middle of the night. It blows it's whistle at the beginning of the park and again at the end. We have not gotten a good nights sleep the entire week that we have been here. We are here for 2 weeks and will be moving to a different park. I will not stay here again.

This park is an excellent park. We took our grandsons for an extended weekend. The park is very clean, the sites are very nice, lots of things to do with in the park, trails, great swimming beach with a very nice store/snack stand, playgrounds, horse shoes, volley ball. I will stay there many times again.
