North Shore Landing, Emory, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

One of, if not the BEST park we've stayed in. Well kept grounds. Frisbee golf, 10 unit storage bldg, pond, Lake Fork access, 120 foot pier, very friendly owners. Approx. 75% are full time residents. Quiet park, friendly neighbors, pull-through as well as back in sites. Could accommodate big rigs. We camped at North Shore Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

About 12 miles south to small town of Emory (DQ, groceries, gas/diesel, the Walmart) or about the much larger town of Sulphur Springs, about 15 miles north (Walmart). I would stay at this park again in a heartbeat.

Matagorda Bay Nature Park, Matagorda, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean park. River access and a short stretch of beach front. Wi-Fi access is only available in the half of the park closest to beach, the other half only has access of you walk over to the headquarters (small inconvenience). The only negative thing I can say about this park is the lack of shade trees, otherwise the park is immaculate and very well maintained including showers, and restrooms. There is also a small play area for the kids. We camped at Matagorda Bay Nature Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cottonwood Creek RV Park, Dripping Springs, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean park. When we were there I'd say it was 95% snowbirds and mature couples, i.e., very quiet. Our spot was closest to the road and a little vehicle traffic noise, but not to where it was bothersome. There was also 27 acres behind the camping spots with walking trails which we totally enjoyed. Would I stay there again? In a heartbeat. We camped at Cottonwood Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
