Campground has been closed for years.

Date of Stay:

A typical KOA - not spectacular but certainly acceptable, especially for a stop-over. Sites are decent size and level. I had a pull-through that was easy to get into, but a little tricky getting out. Some of the access roads are twisty and it takes care to avoid the trees and edges! The highway runs at the back of the park, but I really didn't notice it.

Date of Stay:

This is a brand new park that is only partially open. Price reflects a $10 discount because they are not fully operational. Great level concrete pads with paver or textured patio areas and fire pits. Wiring is in for cable, but not yet operational. No Wi-Fi yet and access roads are still dirt. HOWEVER - the resort has huge potential. It is the only decent full hookup resort in the area, hence the high rating. Provided the owners follow through with the construction/landscaping and a pool, this will be a first class resort!

Date of Stay:

Location, location, location! Yes, the sites are small(ish), yes there is not a lot of shade, but there are shady sites when the trees are in leaf! Yes, there is a LOT of sand - BUT - you are within feet of a gorgeous beach that has its own concession stand. You can walk to the beautiful village of Pentwater and enjoy bars, restaurants, shopping and art galleries! Tell me one other campground that has all this going for it at $24/night! It would be great if they had water and sewer hookups, but most Michigan State Parks do not, so it is not unusual. However, the location, the friendly folk, and the fun you can have there more than make up for ANY shortcomings. I am also not sure how you can rate a campground when you haven't stayed there!

Date of Stay:

Good location close to the freeway but entry/exit roads could use a little attention. Well kept park with good size lots. Pull through had a gravel pad, picnic table and fire ring. WiFi worked well, didn't use the TV but expect an antenna will receive the Indy stations well enough. Bathrooms could use an update, but were clean. Great location for a stop-over, or if attending races at Indy.

Although the sites are relatively small, they are clean and well groomed. Easy to get in to pull-through although the turns in the park are a bit tight! Best bit is the beach across the road - awesome. Great fresh fish store in Carabelle, too! A quiet, almost forgotten, part of Florida that is well worth seeing. We will be back!

I would rate this as below average for a KO. The campground had a cramped feel with too many roads for the number of sites. Sufficient for an overnight stop, but a bit expensive for what it was.

Date of Stay:

For the price, this is a rip-off! Sites are a decent size, but the pad was only just large enough to get the RV on and not easy to back in to. Charging $5/day for the dog is also a rip-off. Last time we stayed here we were upgraded to a "premium" space (it was off season) which was a lot better, but still expensive. I don't think we will be back!

On the face of it, this resort should not rate as well as it does! But for the price and location it is hard to beat. Sites are level and many are concrete, but they are not large! Lots of seasonal rentals, but everybody was very friendly without being obtrusive. Clean restrooms and good laundry at a fair price! WiFi worked well for me, but possibly because I was close to the office. I would give it a 10 if the sites were larger, but I would certainly stop here again - great value!

Fair value for the money, but the site I was allocated was not easy to get in to, or out of, despite being a "pull through". Campground has a lot of long term residents, park homes, and looks a little disheveled because of it. At check in they seemed more concerned about trying to sell me an air boat ride than getting me registered! I would not stop here again.

This is our second time at this resort. Although a little pricey, it is very clean, friendly and well managed. Separation into two "Class A" areas and one "Class C, 5th Wheel and Trailer" areas seems a little snobbish, especially since the non Class A area seemed the most active! Nice pool and spa, although the pool is a little on the small side. Trash containers to dispose of dog poo would be a VERY good addition! (I took off one star because of this!).

Date of Stay:

A very pleasant KOA with gravel/grass pull-through spaces. Relatively easy access but needs care entering and exiting due to a couple of turns around trees, but not a big issue.

Date of Stay:

Great campground despite the unusual access. The owners were very friendly and keen to help make a pleasant stay. Our back-in lot was easy to set-up, almost level gravel/grass with a concrete patio pad. The view from the rear of our Fifth Wheel was very pretty overlooking the lake.

Date of Stay:

A somewhat plain KOA, but, as noted by others, close to the 401. Spacious, level, grassed, pull-trough sites with relatively easy access over graveled roads. Some traffic noise from the 401 was evident, but we did not notice it with the AC running. Basically, a convenient stop-over on our way through Canada.

Date of Stay:

Expensive for what it is! Mostly seasonals and narrow gravel roads that are hard to navigate due to cars parked alongside them. Sites are a reasonable width, but not long enough to accept the RV and a parked car. Owner was friendly, but the whole place looked "cheap" - certainly not the quality to deserve the high price!
