Cedar Point Resorts / Lighthouse Point Campground, Sandusky, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $125.00
Overall Rating:

They need security at the check in parking lot. We were a 40' motorhome towing, and when we pulled into the lot there was nowhere to park. There were compact cars in the rv spaces and empty rvs. People had parked there and gone elsewhere. We could not make the turn to get out since arriving rvs were blocking due to having nowhere to go. A complaint was made inside, but you are dealing with college kids and no one seemed to be in charge. Check in was quick and efficient, however. Signage is very lacking leading you to the campsites and exiting. We were in a new pullthru site that was well worth the additional money. Table and chairs are provided as well as a firepit with seating. The site was immaculate. This would be 10 stars if they corrected the check-in parking problem and added signs directing you to the camping sites when you exit the parking lot. We camped at Cedar Point Resorts / Lighthouse Point Campground in a Motorhome.

Pearl Lake, South Beloit, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Do not understand the bad reviews. This is a well-run, well-maintained park with a gorgeous lake. The owner went above and beyond when we went to leave and a slide out malfunctioned. Though it was a Sunday, he sent repairmen out to assess the situation. A repair team arrived early Monday and got us back on the road. Our two-night experience was wonderful. We had great neighbors and everyone abided by the quiet time rules. If you do not like rules, this is not the park for you. Having recently experienced a park that did not enforce any rules, this was a welcome change. We would return. We camped at Pearl Lake in a Motorhome.

River Park RV Park, Valdosta, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a well-kept park. Great for a one- night stay if passing through. All pull thru sites with grass and picnic table. We had an end space so no one was next to us when sitting outside. Very convenient to 1-75, so there is a lot of traffic noise. We camped at River Park RV Park in a Motorhome.
