Lava Hot Springs / City Center KOA (formerly Rivers Edge RV & Camping), Lava Hot Springs, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed are stay here. It was nice to be so close to the swimming pool and town. We stayed by the river and there is hot water from the pools that dump into the river. The kids liked to hangout there, especially after floating the river. You can bring your own tubes or rent them. They have very large trees that make it shady. You can tell this is an old campground and needs some updates. It is almost like it has been passed down the family and now the kids just do what is needed. The staff was very nice and helpful. We would stay here again. We camped at Lava Hot Springs / City Center KOA (formerly Rivers Edge RV & Camping) in a Fifth Wheel.

Goblin Valley State Park, Green River, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a few nights. The campground is nestled up in a cove against the mountian. It is a wonderful area for your kids to climb and venture in the goblins and little hills. At every campsite they have a firepit and a covered awning. All the roads are paved. They have a dump station at the campground. This is a very family active area. I had to give this a lower rating beause they do not regulate the speeds people drive. I thought the employees at the park drove too fast. The Valley of Goblins is very close. There is also another hike for your family outside the park called Little Wild House. It is about 4 miles away. We would stay here again. We camped at Goblin Valley State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Portal RV Resort and Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We are a family of six. The park is very clean. We could not have wood fires at our campsite, but we could have a propane fire pit. They do have a big fire pit over at the tent area that we got together with some friends one night and had a great time. They had a playground for my smaller kids which they had a lot of fun at. They have two ponds which one you can swim in and take the campground canoe out. The other pond has a nice fountain. There is a swimming pool, but you need to stay on the resort side to be able to go in there. We liked that it was off the main road so we didn't have a lot of road noise. The campsites are gravel where your RV parks. They have a concrete pad to set your chairs on. The roads are all paved so you don't get any dust when people drive by. The owners were very nice and helpful. We don't review the people who stay there, but everybody around us was very nice. We would say here again. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
