This park is a 15 minute drive from Greensboro proper, but the rate can't be beat compared to other options in this area. There is 50A service in a mostly sunny area, and 30A in more shaded areas. One problem with the sunny areas, at least in the cooler months, is that the sites have little to no gravel. If it rains, you can easily get stuck pulling out. This is the only park this has been an issue and its happened twice. If I had a 4X4 this wouldn't have been an issue, but one of my two times even then it would have been a problem. One warning - I arrived on Thursday for a 3 night stay and was informed there wasn't any sites available, despite several being unoccupied. Apparently you can reserve sites if you reach a minimum number sites, and the park was sold out which left me high and dry. Although you cannot reserve one site, calling ahead just might be in your best interest. Be prepared to leave a message, and the office staff is often out working around the park. Having said all this, I really like this park and what it has to offer.

I found this park a great place to spend four nights. Not only because there is plenty to do in the area, but the park itself was a nice place to stay. There are no trees, so during the summer months it might be a bit hot, but during the Spring this wasn't an issue. The park owner is a great person to deal with and I found him very accommodating. The WiFi signal was perfect and didn't kick me off once. The speed was great, although the campground was only 30% occupied. I stayed near the office which as a wired WiFi emitter, while the other areas rely on repeater stations. The bathroom could have used a bit more attention, but were acceptable. I'm already planning on my next return to this campground. The rate reflects partial PPA and partial full price, since they limit the amount you can use PPA.

This park is coming into its own. The owner explained to me what he's done so far; and his ambitious future plans, which include some paving. Currently all roads and sites are gravel/dirt. The WiFi signal was fast and flawless, but the park was only 20% occupied. They charge an additional $4/night for cable hookup, which I declined since there was plenty of over-the-air stations. The bathroom are newly renovated, but I wish they wouldn't allow smoking in the restrooms since they're rather small. I have reservations to return to this campground and plan to more so in the future. Rate is PPA.
