Pretty and quiet park. Trees and grass at each site. Long concrete pads. A grassy area for pets, and also several fenced pet areas In May they were only about half full. The office is closed between 12 and 1 PM, so check in after 1pm. We camped at Susanville RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Fort Amargosa RV Park, Amargosa Valley, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

I have to echo the comments of AV-Ed (Apt 2017). This is an oasis in the midst of nothing. If you've read the reviews of parks in Beatty or Pahrump, you might be tempted to take a chance on this one. Good decision. Lots of room, trees at each site, no reservations needed. There were 20-30 spaces occupied out of the 90+ available. Owner says the busy months are April & November. NOTE: cash only. Potential downside; they sell fireworks across the street and your pets may object. We camped at Fort Amargosa RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sky City RV Park, Acoma, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is about the minimum for a park that promises full hook ups, cable and wifi. As is typical for rural New Mexico, the sites are gravel with no trees or vegetation. The apparent lack of care in the facility apparently encouraged previous tenants to allow their dogs to poop without cleanup. The cable hookup lacked the proper connector. A quick review of other unoccupied sites revealed that most of them were similar. I was in a space about as near the wifi antenna as you could get, but it didn't work until I walked within 50 ft. of the office. Lower your expectations and you'll be fine. We camped at Sky City RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Distant Drums RV Resort, Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

World class in every respect. Clean laundry room, exercise room, fenced pet area. Nice pool, casino with free shuttle. Easy access to Sedona (30 min) and Cottonwood (home Depot). A terrific food store (Bashas) 5 minutes away, there is nothing not to like about this park. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
