Fairview Riverside State Park, Madisonville, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely location. Well maintained with clean restrooms. Easy access from I-12. New Orleans is easy accessible via the Lake Ponchartrain causeway. ($6 toll for an RV.) We parked our 31 ft RV on the parking lot near Algiers ferry. We paid 5 $ for the day and felt safe. To get to the French Quarter we used the free ferry over the Mississippi. We camped at Fairview Riverside State Park in a Motorhome.

Askew's Landing Campground, Edwards, Mississippi

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly and helpful staff. This is a very well maintained campground (street, ways, lawn) but we were very disappointed when we saw the restrooms: old and not really clean. We think they should pay the same attention to the restrooms as they do the lawns. We camped at Askew's Landing Campground in a Motorhome.

Very friendly and helpful staff, clean restrooms spacious sites. The only disadvantage is the nearby railroad with a lot of trains, which are quite loud, the whole night. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Liberty Harbor RV Park, Jersey City, New Jersey

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

It's a very good place to visit NYC. Only a short walk to PATH-Station, also to the Jersey City waterfront around Goldman Sachs Tower, with a spectacular view to Manhattan. But on the other hand we found there the worst restrooms ever seen in the US: old and very dirty with water which seemed to be not clean. The staff was nice and helpful. We think, in spite of the spectacular location, the price-quality ratio is bad. We camped at Liberty Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.
