Cedar Oaks RV Resort, Grove, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The park was very well kept, clean, good city water, and electric was good even though our hookup had a broken outlet. Nothing bad to prevent us from using the 50 amp. Didn't like the dusty gravel roads , but that's part of camping sometimes. Many camp workers out everyday taking care of the place. It has a LOT of full timers; got the feeling we were the only "campers". No biggy, just not many friendly people . I like to just wave and have it returned. The loop we stayed in, #77-125 was pretty vacant. Just fine with us. Full timers stay in the other part. More shade there. #111 to #125 are full sun... We stayed in #90, it was beautiful! Right on the lake, morning shade, afternoon sun. Wasps were bad, but we went back to town (close) and bought a can of wasp spray. Again, part of camping. Got to watch the flock of geese every day in the cove right there. As said before, the Wi-Fi does NOT work. No cable but the antenna channels were good. We got about 35 channels on our antenna. Overall, we will probably stay again, if we can get our spot (you get picky the older you get :) ). We like it was clean and well kept. And very close to town if you need something. If this loop was busy, sites would be very close. With our 32' 5th wheel, our pickup would have been out in the road, but #91 was recently washed out in the flood, so they let us park there. NO PARKING in vacant spaces! We camped at Cedar Oaks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Har-Ber Village is a great place to visit, an old time village founded by Harvey and Bernice Jones of Jones Truck Lines (JTL) It is based on life in the area in the 1800s to early 1900s... very cool.

Catherine's Landing, Hot Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

First this was the most expensive place we have stayed at. That being said it is a beautiful Very clean park. Nice wide asphalt roads, concrete pads. Ours was not quite level, sloped down to the river but not bad. Ours was a "water front" site, so more money. But we had some shade, the pull throughs in the middle of the park have zero shade. Lots of elbow room between sites. Our truck was angled up to the road when the trailer was where I wanted it. We were 50 amp and it worked fine. Water was good. Cable tv, mmm , not great , snowy, but it was there. I believe they use satellite. Wifi is slow but was very reliable. At&T cell service is one bar, maybe 2 if you act like a scare crow... The employees were nice. The fellow campers were the best we have ever experienced ! Very friendly and nice, but not overly so. I think everybody we met walking the dogs said hello with a smile. Talked to our neighbors from TX and AL alot. This I would say is a 'higher' end rv park, but by no means snooty... They have boat rentals, zip lines, hiking trails, but we didn't use them. Maybe next time. Overall we really liked it. Lots of grass to walk the dogs, (on leash of course) and a "ok" fenced dog park. The web site says its on Lake Catherine, but its actually a decent size river. Several places on the bank to fish if so inclined. Unless you like hilly winding roads with very narrow bridges, stay off Hwy 7 coming from the north. You Do Not want to meet a log truck on those bridges... We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Our second stay here. A great clean park. Paved roads and sites. Decent room between neighbors. Lots of trees, but well trimmed. A very nice dog run with rubber mulch. Easy on their feet . Internet was pretty bad, but thats to be expected of a rv park I guess.
All other hookups worked fine. It seems you give (provide) people a nice well kept park like this one, and you get nicer people. Very friendly. I can not think of a thing negative to say, which is great ! Lots of grass in between sites. Lots of room for any rig. This place is on our "do again" list ! We camped at American RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

KOA-Black Canyon City, Black Canyon City, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second stay here. The sites and roads are gravel. Not very level. You better have some blocks for your jacks or tires. A few trees here and there. The dog run is a joke. The owner has a goat pinned up right next to it, and lets it run loose in the mornings. (Leash rules don't apply here I guess.) We had to complain about a permanent person letting their dogs run loose. I hate complaining. Parts and pieces for the park laying all over, including in the store. Could be a decent park, but not now. Fuel and grocery prices are crazy high in Black Canyon City and Rock Springs! Overall I guess this park served its purpose, as we had people to visit close by. We did use the laundry, which was ok. Good luck getting them to answer the phone for reservations. The owner needs to work on being friendly. As it stands, I cannot recommend it. We camped at KOA-Black Canyon City in a Fifth Wheel.

Elk City / Clinton KOA, Canute, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

A nice clean little park. Sights are a little close, but not real bad. Roads are paved, but a bit narrow. Nice trees. Although close to I40, not much road noise. Its an older park, but everything works fine. Nice people. Hot food. A little pricey, but most KOA's are. Sites are pretty level. Very nice grassy dog run !!! This was our second stay and will stay again if the need arises. We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel, Kingman, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Our first stay here, I just cannot say enough good things about this place! Very wide sites, level, everything worked fine. Plenty of room for any size rig. Best kept and cleanest park we have been in. Everybody there was extremely friendly and nice. The workers would stop by and say hello if you were outside. Very cool. Two nice dog runs. The office store is sort of small, but has about everything you would need. Also very clean! You do get some traffic noise from I-40, but no biggy. It's halfway up a hill so you have some nice views. There is a truckstop at the bottom if you need fuel (or a restaurant). There are a few trees around for some shade. The roads are paved with level gravel sites. I would love to stay here again! We camped at Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel in a Fifth Wheel.

Oasis RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We had reservations, but got there after the office closed by maybe 30 minutes. No note, no call, just a sign on the door saying pick your own spot basically. Nice paved roads, fairly wide sites, well kept. The dog run was Great! Large grassy fenced place. All hookups worked fine. Highway noise but to be expected close to I-40. They have some trees planted, but the place looks fairly new so it will be a while before you see shade. That part of TX is just flat, so nothing to look at. Overall a nice place to stop for the night. We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is the second time we have stayed here in a couple years. This time we were shoehorned in the middle, very close to others on both sides. Wi-Fi was there, but not good. Everything worked as in cable, elec, water. They charge $2 for 50 amp, and $2 for cable TV. There was no food as their website said there would be. Pretty disappointed in that. The dog run is OK, not great, all gravel. Airport very close by, smaller twin engine planes go right over very low. Some train noise. Probably won't stay here again. Sites were fairly level, and long enough for us to stay hooked up. We camped at USA RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice clean park. All paved roads and sites. Was a little surprised when ours was not level, but it was close. No biggy. WiFi was great, some trees. A large place, but very well kept. Friendly employees. A do again place. We camped at American RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is the nicest park we have stayed at yet, including some much bigger. Everything was clean and well taken care of. It really was the people who made the difference for us. There was a winter storm coming that night, they came around to remind everybody to unhook the water hose, not to protect themselves with freeze proof spigots, but to protect the campers. Woke up the next morning with 1/4" of ice covering everything, power went out (9000 people in the area), and the park employees were out again checking on people. Shaded sites with nice grass and pet runs. We would love to stay here again. We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Motorhome.

KOA-Black Canyon City, Black Canyon City, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The park is older, but we found it clean and quiet. The site we had was not level, but it wasn't bad, we leveled with the wood blocks I carry. WIFI was the best we've ever had at a park !! TV was very good, and electric was wired properly.(I check it before plugging in) Overall, we would stay here again. Landscaping was older, but nice. Typical Arizona, but nice. We camped at KOA-Black Canyon City in a Motorhome.
