My family and I camped here three nights in a 33' travel trailer. The campground is set up nicely with large sites. It is conveniently located. Far enough from San Antonio to give you a camping feel but close enough for food deliveries to your site. It is a short trip into the city. The sites are gravel but level. The bathroom/showers were keep clean. All the utilities work great. The Wi-Fi was strong and gave us no problems. The campground does not have a cable hookup but we did get several over the air local channels. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I would rate the campground higher but as previous reviews state, over half the park sites are taken by permanent residents. Still, I would recommend this campground if you are planning a trip to San Antonio or just passing through.

My family and I camped here for five nights in a 33' travel trailer. The sites are shaded and set up in a way that most sites feel secluded from the others, It gives you a private feel. The utilities worked fine. The bathroom/showers were keen clean. The Wi-Fi worked well. There is no cable hookups and I was not able to pick up any over the air stations. There are fishing piers and several spots that are accessible to fish from the bank. We had the pleasure of seeing Bald Eagles every day. One evening they even landed in a tree right by our site. The pool is a nice plus. I would have rated the campground higher except the sites were overgrown and this caused us to have a mosquito problem. A screen house is a must.

My family and I stayed at this park for two months while we moved. It is a beautiful park that is set up really well. The sites have full hookups. They are paved and level. The lake, pier, and beach are great. There is a playground and fish cleaning station. The staff is friendly. The only reason that I give this campground a 9 is because the site we had was on a hill and mud washed over our pad during a hard rain.

The sites are paved and most are level. The sites are wooded and spaced out. The bath house is clean. There is a beach and marina. The lake is great for fishing and boating. The hiking trails are scenic. The reason I give this campground an 8 is because there are no sewer hook ups and the 30 amp breaker would trip whenever the AC came on. I had to run off the 50 amp with an adapter. We camped here in a 33' RV.

The campground is wooded and spaced out. Most sites are level and all are paved. All the sites have a tent pad. The lake is one of the best I have ever fished. The bathhouse is clean. There are docks, boat launch, and fish cleaning station. There is a small playground for the kids. There is a large pool with diving board. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would give this campground a 10 if it had full hookups.

My wife and I stayed at this campground, in site number 8, for two nights in a 33' trailer. This is a nice, clean park that is located conveniently near the casinos and downtown Shreveport/Bossier area. The sites are close together and feel cramped. There was nowhere to park our tow vehicle except in the grass beside or RV. I also had trouble pulling out the day we left due to the way the people beside us parked their tow vehicle. The sites are all concrete and level. There are no fire rings and due to the closeness of the sites we felt that it was not the kind of park that you would want to visit if you just wanted to sit out and relax outdoors. However, I do not believe that is what this campground was intended to be used for. It is perfect for the intended use, which is to give RVers a place to stay, instead of at the hotel, when you come to town to play at the casino. The Wi-Fi connection only worked sporadically during our stay. The staff was not overly friendly. There was a railroad track directly behind our site that was a nuisance while sleeping. You can get access to the pool if you go to the hotel's main desk and request a key card. I recommend this when the weather is permitting. It is one of the nicest pools we have been to. Overall, due to the cleanliness and convenient location I would have given this campground a 10. However, the lack of Internet, the closeness of the spaces, and the other reasons mentioned above made it fall short.

My family and I stayed here five nights in site number 7. It is a pull through site. The site was nice but was not level. All the sites are shaded. The pull through sites are spaced out, but the back ins are close together. The park is well kept, and the staff is friendly. The small lake has a nice paved walking path all the way around. The bike/walking trail is scenic and makes you feel like you are farther away from town than you really are. The playground is nice for the kids. Overall a nice place to stay.

My family and I stayed two nights at this campground in a 33' RV. We stayed in site 6. The campground was clean but set up awkwardly. Our fire ring and picnic table were set up behind our camper. Site 7's fire ring and picnic tables were in front of their RV which meant it was right next to ours. This made for little privacy. Also there are several sites that appear to be permanently set up and not well maintained. The wildlife center and zoo are nice if you have kids. It is worth staying a night or two if you are passing through but I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here.

My family stayed here nine nights in a 33' RV. We originally had reservations for four nights but we enjoyed the campground so much we decided to stay longer. This is one of the cleanest and best keep campgrounds we have ever stayed at. The full hookups were great for a family. The bathhouse was clean. We stayed in site 14 which was on the inside loop but still had a good view of the lake. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. The staff at the visitors center was both friendly and helpful. We will camp here again!
