The place was very clean with great amenities. Several pools, nice walking paths, friendly staff, mostly level spots, good utilities. The only reason I didn't rate it a 10 is because the spaces are very close together. Everything else about the place however was at 10/10

I am spoiled. I keep picking the highest rated campgrounds on RV Park Reviews and keep staying at exceptional places. Wow. This place has spared no expense. Super long concrete pull-throughs, very convenient hookups, wide, lush green parkways in between, very clean pool, great showers and bathrooms, and exceptionally nice management team who seemed to make it their job to be accommodating.

OK, so why a 9 rating, with dirty showers and bad bathrooms? I guess I just anticipated that as a county park open to the public the bathrooms would be less than desirable. Once you get by that, after all you are in your own rig, this is really a nice place. Lots of space between your neighbors, level spots, great camp hosts, right by Lake Mendota, greener than you can imagine, 4 bars of the faster Verizon 4g you can imagine. It really is a great place. We were here for 2 weeks and enjoyed every day here. Both the local police and the county rangers run regular patrols though the place.

Very nice place. They don't offer full hook up but was only a short wait to dump when we left. Site we had was very level and shady with great water pressure and faultless electrical. Very nice owners. Everything very clean. Just used this as an overnight but would stay here again

Very nice place. Arrived and received a very fast check-in then were escorted to our stop, which was totally level. Bathroom facilities were very clean, pool area was well kept up. The dog run, while a bit far, was very nice. It is Nebraska, so not much you can do about the swarms of flies. Not sure it could have been a better kept park. We just used this as an overnight, but would most certainly come here again.

This could be a really nice place; it has a lot going for it. The owners are very nice, it has some beautifully restored old travel trailers complete with restored "pull cars" to achieve the look, and for their part the owners keep the bathrooms and shower area very clean. The spots while very level, are pretty small, the dog walk area is ridiculously far away and unlit at night, and the amount of old unrestored trailers on the property combined with the tall grass and weeds kinda make you feel like you arrived at a junk yard.

Owner/operator is very nice and tries to be helpful and accommodating. Overall the place is really clean and well maintained and even though somewhat close to a major hwy, there was really no noticeable noise. The spots are hard packed gravel and very level with easy in and out. I noticed a very nice and private tenting area that you can also tell is well maintained and noticeably separate from the RV area. The only negatives, but only for some, water pressure is very low (but still usable), no cell service (unless you have a monster booster), and camp internet is limited (but usable for email and such).

Very nice place. Right off the hwy but no noticeable noise. Staff was very nice and you could tell by the place that it was very well maintained. Stopped for the night, but stayed for three. WiFi is a bit better than your avg but Verizon wireless was awesome ... 5 up/down 65ms ping with no booster. Would most definitely come here again

wow ... what a nice place. The owner was a totally caring person with high work ethics. Bathrooms and showers were very clean and kept well heated even though there were not a lot there at this time of year. Grounds were very well maintained, as well as everything we observed. The part is very conveniently located to just about anything you need so that also made it very nice. Richfield is a very cute little town and so we walked around quite a bit during our 2 night stay. Had breakfast at a really nice place called Little Wonder Cafe ... you will like it. I couldn't think of a thing they could have done to make this a nicer little place.

We just overnight-ed here but they set up up with an extremely level pull through, in a quiet area near the exit. It was off season but the park still showed good care. Had stable electricity. Used the showers ...and while pretty cold, they were very clean and well ordered. I would most definitely stay here again.

So there are a few, but only a few, positives things to say about this pace. The staff is very nice, the hookups are convenient and work as expected, and it is only about 15 min from the main "excitement" area of Las Vegas. So if you could care less about anything but being close to Vegas and are a Thousand Trails member ...this is the place for you. The bad: It is little more than a big parking lot with full hook ups. The spaces are very close together, it is a pretty poor area of town with lots of homeless in close proximity, the bathrooms stink (even though the staff signs off twice a day that they were inspected), the small pool has no locker room or changing area, the "workout room" is a total joke, the WiFi is mostly unusable (but verizon wireless works great), and the background noise of sirens is mostly constant. I would never go here again ... there are two way places just down the road that are way nicer

This could be a great place, but Colorado State parks has let it run down. I will mention a few good things first. The RV spots are close to the reservoir, quite large with many being pull through. Nice is a very nice marina on the reservoir. It seems obvious that the owners (not government employees) of the marina care, because it seems most everything they controlled was in top shape. The campground in another story. Our electrical box was broken and while the attendant said she would contact maintenance, no one ever came. The doors in the men's washroom stalls were broken and the dump station had a type of nozzle that wouldn't allow clean outs, only hose down of spills. Most of the trees were dying, even though there is plenty of water in the reservoir. There are many nice park in Colorado, but this is not one of them.

Very nice place within reasonable distance to local attractions like Crazy Horse and Mt Rushmore carvings. Check in was fast and very friendly and was immediately followed by an escort to my spot who provided help in backing in. Our space was about 100+ ft from neighbor, and it seemed most were about the same spacing. Owners made routine patrols checking all sites and taking care of guests needs. Showers are no charge, and laundry was clean and reasonably priced. Wi-fi was decent, but Verizon data connection was awesome with 4g connect speeds of 20M down and 10M up. Very nice place with very nice owners!

I used this as an overnight but was impressed. Was met as I pulled up by the owner that helped us pick a site. Was not required to register until the next morning. Sites were about 50 ft apart and on level hard packed gravel with nice grassy areas in between. OK, so everyone else says it, the bathrooms are really decorated cute and immaculately clean reflecting pride of ownership that carries through to the whole place. WiFi is only so - so, but Verizon receives a strong signal and typical 3g data rates. It is 2 to 5 min off the highway with access roads large. Nice place with great owners.

Bunch of good things about this place that I will mention first. The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Even though it was hot else where, the campground is at a high enough elevation that the weather was very nice and the night down right cool. The spot were about 15 yards yards apart and had nice shade and grass. The staff came though several times per day and emptied garbage and made themselves available to help in anyway that they could. So far it's sounding like a 10 if your purpose is a weekend getaway to relax. The downside is that the sights were very un-level and most need 10" of blocking on at least one touch point. In addition, forget about phone service. Even with a 68 db Wilson amp Verizon could not be obtained. Some people (but not all) were able to get one bar on ATT. The campground also claims Wi-Fi but it is a joke. Broadcast range is less than 20 ft from the antenna. If you are a fisherman (going to a place called Trout Ranch you just might be) I think you best call ahead. The stocked lake was empty and the steam unyielding, but that is almost a good thing as each fish that you catch cost about $.80 per inch. So, if you need to do any kind a work while you are here, or are coming to fish, the rating drops from a 10 to about a 2.
