Birds Hill Provincial Park, Winnipeg, Manitoba

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a full service site. The picnic table and firepit are situated in a private area adjacent to your campsite. The park is quiet and very clean. There are lots of opportunities for biking and hiking. We would stay there again. We camped at Birds Hill Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Buffalo Lookout Campground, Regina, Saskatchewan

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

The park is easily accessed from Highway No.1 on the east side of Regina. The sites are reasonably level, although they need to cut some overhanging trees that impede your path to some sites. The sites are all full service. We camped at Buffalo Lookout Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Wellington KOA, Wellington, Kansas

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The owners are the most helpful of any campground we have ever visited. The restrooms are spotless! We needed an oil change on our vehicle. The owner gave us the information and then while we were setting up, she printed a coupon off the internet for us to use. All of the sites have frost free water supply so that it can be used year round. We will be staying here, the next time we are in the area. We camped at Wellington KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Blanco State Park, Blanco, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

It is a beautiful, quiet park only 45 minutes from San Antonio and one hour from Austin. If you wish to tour Hill Country, this is the place to be. The staff are incredibly helpful and the sites are inexpensive but nice. The Wi-Fi is a bit weak unless you are close to the washroom. We camped at Blanco State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The Vineyards, Grapevine, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

The site was not level and required the use of two blocks on one side. The sewer was so far away that I had to connect two hoses together to reach the sewer drain. It is overpriced for this kind of site. On the other hand the park was secure with a key-coded gate for after hours entry. It is close to downtown Grapevine. We camped at The Vineyards in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Murray State Park / Elephant Rock, Ardmore, Oklahoma

Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful park on the edge of Lake Murray. The pull through sites are level and it does have a number of sites with nice trees between them. The campground hosts are friendly and helpful. We would stay there again. We camped at Lake Murray State Park / Elephant Rock in a Fifth Wheel.

Austin Lone Star Carefree RV Resort, Austin, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The front desk clerk was very rude on our arrival and the person who directed us to our site was very officious. On the other hand the park is clean and safe and is convenient to I-35. The park is probably overpriced but is definitely secure with a security gate. We camped at Austin Lone Star Carefree RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Gulf Waters RV Resort, Port Aransas, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

It is a beautifully manicured park next to the Gulf. Each site has a cement pad with full service. It is a bit pricey but it is safe and very close to Corpus Christi. It is windy, but if you like walking or biking on the beach this is the spot. We camped at Gulf Waters RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
