America's Best Campground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

On Previous stays I rated this campground very high, but on my last stay I have to downgrade them. When we called to make our reservation they required a $35 non-refundable deposit. I accepted that but told them that I needed a spot with a flat area beside the right rear of the coach. I carry a motorcycle on a lift instead of pulling a toad. I explained that I need the flat spot to be able to roll the 800lb bike down it's ramp. He said he could not give me an exact site number but would put me in the hiltop section which is all flat sites. I also informed him that we would be arriving late. He said they would leave a checkin pack at the door. We arrived at 10pm and found the pack. A staff member was helping people find their spots. He took us to our assigned spot which was a steeply tiered site without the flat area we were promised. His attitude was that all the site were filled in that area. So we were stuck. The next morning when we went to pay our bill, I complained about this and was pretty much ignored by the lady that took our money, without even an appology. I had to back the coach to the driveway to get the bike off. I wonder if they have changed management. This was my fourth time to stay here, but I think I will pick another park next time. We camped at America's Best Campground in a Motorhome.

America's Best Campground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean, easy access, pet friendly. Nice store with food, clothing, crafts. Good booking service. A little far from the activities which meant no traffic noises. Would have been a problem for us as we don't have a Toad. However there is a new shuttle bus service called the Branson Looper. You pay for a day pass and get on and off as much as you like. Stops at the campground. Took us to shows and picked us up. It is a top decker bus and was great for sightseeing. Staff at campground was friendly and helpful. We will be back.
