Bay Hide Away RV Park & Campground, Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This park was hurt by Katrina. The pool is new, pavillion is new and club house is new. The sites are gravel but fairly level. Owners are extremely helpful and nice. There are lots of ants, ticks and fleas in the grassy areas. Some of the sites are rented by permanent residents that are a little spooky. I would not stay here alone. We camped at Bay Hide Away RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Clerbrook Golf & RV Resort, Clermont, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This park had very tight grassy sites. The water pressure was not very good. The electrical outlet was located in the extreme rear of site, we needed a much longer cord to connect. Since we did not have a longer cord, the rear bumper of our 38' motorcoach was over the site behind us. I looked for the pool and did not find it. There were many travel trailers that appeared to be long term. We were very disappointed. We camped at Clerbrook Golf & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Motorcoach Resort St. Lucie West, Port Saint Lucie, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

This park is neat and clean. The grass is edged and neat. Landscaping is really pretty. Nice putting range. Pools were heated and very clean. Restrooms were spotless. The sites are level and concrete or brick. The club house had lots of room and plenty of entertainment. I thought it was cool that the Schwann ice cream truck showed up. Staff and neighbors were friendly and outgoing. It was a 2 day drive for us and we found this resort park by accident. We were in the area for work but will return for fun. We camped at Motorcoach Resort St. Lucie West in a Motorhome.

Crooked Creek Recreation Area, Ville Platte, Louisiana

Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

The rv sites do not have sewer hookup even though there is a dump site. The bath houses were not clean. The park offers primitive camping and rv sites. There is a boat dock for the lake. The lake water was muddy and had a lot of grass in it. We camped at Crooked Creek Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Sunshine Travel RV Resort, Vero Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

The ad for this park was deceptive. Most of the sites were for long term or permanent and were in a state of decline. We chose not to stay here after seeing it in person. The showers and bathrooms were dirty. We camped at Sunshine Travel RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tropical Palms Resort, Kissimmee, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a lot of fun. Cute park for the kids, clean laundry room, several of the machines did not work. The pool needs a good cleaning. 6 to 8 other guests said they have been visiting this park for at least 15 years and due to the decline in cleanliness they won't be back; however, considering other local options, this is a good place to stay. It's in a good location and is easy to get to. Staff is knowledgable and friendly. They go out of their way to be helpful. We would definitely stay here again despite the decline in cleanliness. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

Orlando Southwest KOA, Davenport, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This park was filthy. We planned to camp here for 30 nights or more and left after 1 night. The sites have no shade, the laundry room and shower facilities were run down and dirty. There were long term trailers that were broken down and rusted. Certainly not a place I would take my kids. We camped at Orlando Southwest KOA in a Motorhome.

Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort, Panama City Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2006 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is the best run facility we have stayed at. Exceptionally clean and very inexpensive. Good food and great fun. Had a little problem trying to book online - our confirmation never reached us - however, the staff took care of the issue of double booking us immediately. We will be back. We camped at Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort in a Motorhome.
