Sadly, Goosenecks is no longer free. It is now $2 entry fee and $10 to camp. The "park" is basically a scenic overlook. There are vault toilets. Closer in sites have fire rings and picnic tables. You can follow the road out further on the point and access other sites with no amenities but the road has big rocks and is rough. I gave 7 stars for the amazing view. I camped 10' from the edge on a full moon night and it was magical. However, I think $10 is a bit much as I've stayed at BLM CGs with similar amenities, and more things to do like hiking etc., and they were free. Like I said, this is a scenic overlook, there's nothing to do but look over the edge and go Wow! I guess the fee sure has thinned the herd, though, as there were only 2 other RVs. Oh, surprisingly good AT&T 3G data here. That was unexpected.

I did not feel this CG was a good value for the high price. Water was still off to most of the CG on 4/1/2013, never saw the restaurant open, WiFi didn't work most of the time, and the noise level from trains and traffic was a bit much. I would not stay there again.

Person in the office was extremely nice and helpful to a new RVer. He asked me a few questions and then assigned me a nice semi-circle pull-through next to the woods that I really enjoyed. The site was reasonably level with a fire ring and a concrete picnic table. The showers were heated to sauna temp. The door on one was broken. T comment about some repair being needed is still true. We really enjoyed seeing the bison and elk prairie in the park. I would definitely stay there again.

Showers and restrooms were not open, which was not disclosed to us when we checked in. Had to try multiple sites before finding one with both working water and electric. Site was nice and level. They were very nice folks and when we asked about check-out time pretty much said whenever as there was no one there.

Very disorganized and didn't appear to be well maintained. We stayed one night here, arrived right before office closing. The gal in the office gave me 3 different sites to choose from that she said were open with unlocked electric boxes. Two were in close proximity to the bathhouse so we headed there first. The first site had a car parked in it, and the second a motorhome that appeared to have been there for a while. The third site was pretty far from the bathrooms and we couldn't make the turn into it due to another vehicle parked with a fair portion of it in the roadway. And that site had no picnic table. A call to the office got an answering machine so no help there. We headed back to the first section and just started trying sites at random to find one without a reserved sign, with an unlocked electric box that actually worked. The third one had working 20A and that was good enough at that point. The site was very unlevel, and I reached my limit of comfort with the height of the levelers before we were actually level but it was close enough at that point. Showers were clean and hot, though I got a scare when the lights went out as they were on a timer and I didn't realize that as they were on when I went in.
