Doane Valley Campground, Palomar Mountain, California

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is within Palomar Mountain State Park, and it is great for families. The road in to the campground is narrow and windy. Fortunately, there is not much traffic. Our group had RVs in sites 30 and 31. Site 30 is a pull through, level, close to the bathrooms. Site 31 has a lot of trees but is not even close to level. The Ranger programs are fun, there are many trails to hike, and a fishing pond within walking distance. We camped at Doane Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

North Pines Campground (NPS Campgroiund), Yosemite National Park, California

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very nice campground in Yosemite park. All of the sites have a picnic bench, fire ring and a large bear box. It is close to everything and the park shuttle stops nearby. Spotty cell phone service within the campground, but nearby Camp Curry has a lounge available for all guests with both wireless internet and cell phone service. We would stay here again. We camped at North Pines Campground (NPS Campgroiund) in a Motorhome.
