It's been over 15 years since I last camped at Edisto and I'm so pleased that not much has changed. My favorite thing about Edisto is that there is nothing to do there but go to the beach. The campground is nice and quiet and most sites are shaded. It was a short walk to the beach, which was pretty un-crowed. I used the showers, but not the restrooms. The showers had nice tile and were very clean. The only negative of the whole trip were the racoons. Those guys are smart, fast and very messy. Next time we will bring a trash can with a secure locking lid. We had several racoons come up within a few feet of us. But that's part of camping and technically, we are in their space. Overall it was a very relaxing weekend and I'm already planning the next trip.

I could not have been more pleased with this campground, unless it had been directly on the beach. The people who worked there were so friendly, the bike paths were awesome, the fishing pier had an amazing view of the marsh, the campground was clean and most of the sites were shaded. The bath house was clean, not spotless, but clean. Quiet hours are enforced. The water park was within walking/biking distance and a great place to spend the day with the kids. And since it is a county park, you can get in all the other county parks for free with your pass. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back.

This park was beautiful and much more than I had expected! It was clean, quiet, and there was easy access from our campsite to the lake. The only problem we had were ants. They got inside the camper very quickly. Other than that, we had a great time and would definitely go back again.
