Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Cannot say enough good things about this park. It is fabulous! Sites are large and each are unique. The owner is constantly updating and making sites larger. Hard to find a bad site here. It's a bit out of town, but that made it so quiet. Takes about twenty minutes to get to stores. Very near to Cheyenne State Park for loads of hiking. We stayed a week and loved every minute! Will make a point to stay here again. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

St. Vrain State Park, Longmont, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Chose this campground to stay at for 2 nights for a business meeting in Broomfield. At first wasn't sure why anyone would stay here long term. We arrived in the heat of the day & found no trees & dusty gravel roads. But by late afternoon the cloud cover came in & was able to sit outside & enjoy the amazing view of the mountains (that you wouldn't see if there were a lot of trees). Sites are huge pull through (bald eagle point loop) & ours was lakefront facing the mountains. Absolutely beautiful! Lots of fishing & birding & walking paths are nice in the cool of the day. Though I wouldn't necessarily make this a destination, especially in July or August, I would definitely stay here again. We camped at St. Vrain State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Silver Slipper Casino RV Park, Waveland, Mississippi

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here to have a beach front RV site and was not disappointed. The RV sites are bare and do not offer bathrooms, showers or trees/shade...but the view is amazing. A two lane road is all that separates you from the beach. The road noise/intrusion is minimum-moderate and may be more in the summer. We paid an extra $10 to have beach front site but would have been OK with non-beach front. They had good views as well. The price was high for no facilities but we went to the casino and signed up for a new players card & they comp'd us a night. No gambling was required. Would definitely stay here again for a beach vacation. We camped at Silver Slipper Casino RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

French Quarter RV Resort, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Being right by Hwy 10 made it convenient to drive to the start of the IronMan race that I competed in at Lake Pontchartrain about 6 miles away. It is located 1 block north of the french quarter so it is perfect for those wanting to explore, eat, drink. The facilities were immaculate & staff very helpful & friendly. Pool area was small but beautiful. Hot tub was great. Would give this place 5 stars if not for the location in the projects & right next to major highway. Sirens are constant & the small park right next to the facility had a fund raiser to raise money for crime prevention while blaring offensive rap music for 4 hours. Thankfully, the staff new about the event and assured us that it would be over at 8pm...which it was. Walking outside the walls of the Resort was unnerving but felt completely safe within...a beautiful oasis amongst the thorns. Would stay here again for another New Orleans event but wouldn't make it a vacation destination. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
