We had called ahead to reserve a spot, the gentleman was very nice, we tried to use a CC to hold it as we didn't know what time we would get in. He refused, just said 'Make sure you show up'. We did show up about 7 p.m., he had just given our site to someone one else, but did have a couple of other sites open if I could get my rig backed into them. I took a look at them and knew that it wouldn't be a problem. I was concerned our 37' RV would extend too far into the road way, but he was ok with me putting the tag axle tires just off the concrete pad into the grass. Once that was done, had an amazing evening and morning at the park. Very peaceful, beautiful and extremely affordable campground. I would highly recommend this park. I hate to though, because it is a gem, and with only 10 sites can fill up quickly. If cigarette smoke bothers you, I would recommend not walking into the office as he was smoking while filling out our info. That is the only bad thing I can say about the park! The office is his house, so if he wants to smoke, it is his house. Cash or Check only.

We broke down in Columbia earlier that day. Spent most of out time at Inland Truck Service and parts. We called the office about 6 pm, indicating we would stay there if our rig was repaired that evening. They indicated the office would close at 8 pm, if we came in after that, they would have a site for us reserved. If we didn't make it, all was well. We told them we would pay cash in the morning, if we got there. They held the spot for us. We paid in the morning. I was hesitant about pulling in after dark due to the warnings of close quarters and turns. We had no problem navigating the property after dusk. Did make me wish I had a spot light to see site numbers...lol. Next trip I will pack one!

Extremely friendly staff. The sewer drains were a stretch to get to. The biggest issue I have with this park is it is just a huge gravel parking lot. There is no green space to speak of. There was a 'Good Sam' discount, but the rate still seemed a little high. The little green area there is, is off limits to pets. Makes it difficult for them to use the bathroom. When we stayed we were warned that there is one camper that is very diligent about watching for dogs. He turned other campers in because they left their dogs tied up 'unattended' for 7 mins. If you need to get 'plugged in' to recharge after a few days of dry camping, have no dogs and don't want to sit your lawn chairs/ picnic table on grass, it's ok. Did have a few issues with the 50 amp connection. But it has been working since then.

Campsites are very narrow. I was unable to open one of my basement doors due to the water main being in the way. The sewer drain is not easily accessible w/o a very long hose. My first night staying there was noisy. The people down the lane were being very loud at 10:30 pm. I called the 'front desk' and asked about it. She informed me they have been here almost a year and never had any complaints before. The owners are very friendly. Grounds are well maintained. There is a lot of noise from the highway and train tracks. Overall, I have been stuck in worse camp grounds. If you have to stay in Pratt, its a 6 outta 10.

Very impressed with this park! WiFi works great, Cable works. Level pads. The only problem is lack of shade trees, but not the fault of the campground, there is a horrible drought in SW Kansas. Of the 2 campgrounds in Dodge City, this one is by far the superior choice!!

Very disappointed in this camp ground. It is in a very bad neighborhood. The whole camp ground just looks trashy. When I had a problem with the internet, the staff basically threw up their hands and said not our problem, maybe we will get it fixed tomorrow. Be careful how long you say you are going to stay. If you are not happy with things, there are no refunds! A lot of the occupants here are 'living' here. If you are looking for a friendly campground, I suggest you move on.

Amazing campground in a wonderful, small community. Lots of large shade trees. Nice shower house. The local police officer comes by to collect your payment. If he doesn't get it from you, it's on the honor system! How awesome is that! Too bad the drought has lowered the lake so much. The geese are very tame and will take bread from your hand!! If you are in the area I highly recommend it!!
