Scott's Tent and Trailer Park, Niagara Falls, Ontario

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We ended up not actually staying at this campground and the only reason it got a one rating was because they actually gave us our money back and we went elsewhere. The check in was actually very pleasant and then we were taken to our site. Once at the site we were told it has been the worst rainy season ever and the sites had a lot of ruts, and were soft from others coming and going. Well we tried to get into the site and luckily we had 4 wheel drive. The first site the electric had to come under our trailer and hooked up on the door side so it was too short of a cord (50amp) the ruts at the end of the site were about 6 inches deep and the sewer hookup was under the trailer. We asked to be moved and were told sure pick any site and let us know. We looked at a few and all were soft the sewer was under the trailer. we tried a second site but again the truck and trailer sunk into the ground about 6 inches. Proper gravel, not pea gravel would eleviate the sinking problem but unless they redo all of the 50 amp spots, all of the sewers would stay under each trailer. Anyway after trying to get into a couple of sites and being unsuccessful we decided to leave. They did refund me my money and we went elsewhere. We camped at Scott's Tent and Trailer Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Niagara Falls KOA, Niagara Falls, Ontario

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $77.00
Overall Rating:

Your typical KOA, tight sites and roads with kids running around. Stayed as a last resort. Very overpriced, but you pay for all of the activities the kids are able to do even though we don't have any. Hookups were good except for the sewer connection which stuck up above the ground higher than the connection on the trailer. Roads were tight but doable and did I mention overpriced for what we got.....we are seasoned travellers and realize that because the campground is in Niagara Falls the price would be a little higher BUT not getting anything extra (like cable) is what bothers me. We camped at Niagara Falls KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tree Farm Campground, Springfield, Vermont

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a week visiting relatives. Check in was a little dicey although friendly, the person had a little bit of a hard time making change and then after all was done us having to pay another $3 a day for A/C. A little tight getting around in the campground with our 41ft fifth wheel but doable. Hookups were good although water pressure was a little lacking and cable is split from a Dish satellite feed. Very quiet and dark amongst the trees. Not much for kids to do other than a small park area, no pool. Nice and quiet for a relaxing time. Definitely return. We camped at Tree Farm Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone, Verona, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Check friendly and quick. Sites were nice and wide with a paved pad which was level and large enough. The length of the site was ok but we did have to park our tow vehicle across the front of the rig. All of the hookups work very well including cable 50/30 amp. Easy in and out and close enough to the NY Thruway making it convenient. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Fifth Wheel.

I-75 RV Park, Tifton, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

On our way home from Florida we stayed at I-75 RV Park. Check in was quick and easy. Host met us as we were entering the park and advised us to pick one of the sites and then return to settle up. We did but found that staying hooked up we were not quite level, as everything in the park sloped slightly toward the road. Sites were large and long enough, hookups were nicely placed and cable and internet were good. Power and water was good as well. Surprisingly the noise wasn't to bad even though we were right by the interstate. We would defiantely stay here again although just for an overnight not a destination park. Nicely landscaped. We camped at I-75 RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Southwoods RV Resort, Byron, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped here for one night on our way back from a trip to New Hampshire. Pleasantly surprised at the size of the sites. The amenities at the site were well placed and all strong. The WiFi was strong as well, even though we were a good distance from the office. We didn't have cable but TV through the air antenna was quite good. The campground seems well situated in the area to see Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Letchworth State Park. We would definitely stay at this park again. We camped at Southwoods RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Twin Mountain Motor Court & RV Park, Twin Mountain, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a week to explore the White Mountains. The sites were a good size although we had no one beside us thus making it comfortable for us. I would imagine it would be a little tight if we did have neighbours. It is basically a large parking lot divided into pull thru sites. The first problem we had was while plugging into the site pole our surge protector showed an open ground. Checked a site two over from us and the same result. We move to another site and it was OK. The WiFi was spotty at best and phone service was non-existent (to be expected in the mountains). Only 30 amp service but strong. Water pressure was very good and the cable was also very good. Now if the park were to fill up maybe these amenities might be strained. It is a good base for exploring the area and the price is reasonable. If they were to upgrade to 50amp service we might stay here again. We camped at Twin Mountain Motor Court & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Massena Intl Kampground, Massena, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed here for one night but would definitely return. Seems to be an old KOA but the sites were nice and large, although where we were was more of and open area with no trees or shade. All of the amenities were within reach and strong. WiFi worked well. Groceries, fuel and other stores were nearby. As mentioned we only stayed for one night so don't know if there was much to see in the area. We camped at Massena Intl Kampground in a Fifth Wheel.

Westgate RV Campground, London, Kentucky

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Great on and off to I-75. For an overnight while traveling this place is great. I don't know if I would stay here for any length of time. It is a campground/motel combo, in amongst restaurants, other hotels and gas stations. You would think it would be noisy but it was quiet, clean, and all of the services worked very well. The sites are a little narrow and there are no shady sites. Cable and Wi-Fi worked well and the 50amp was strong. Having said that there were only two other trailers here at the time. We went out to eat at one of the restaurants within walking distance. All in all it was a plain campground, great amenities, easy and fast check in, and well worth the price for an overnight stay. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Westgate RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Forsyth KOA, Forsyth, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Typical KOA, friendly service at check in and were escorted to site. Was level side to side but a little off back to front(we didn't unhook tow vehicle). Site services all worked very well. Quick on and off to I-75 but right along the highway so road noise is very prominent. We had dinner brought to the trailer from the office. They have Pizza, wings and chicken tenders plus a couple of other items. The food was very good. Price is regular rate and that includes $2 for cable and $5 per device for WiFi(we only had one device) One of the reasons we don't have a KOA Card is the nickel and dime charges KOA has. The reason we stayed here was because it fit exactly into our timing for the trip home from Florida. We would consider staying here again. We camped at Forsyth KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Florida Gateway Resort, Jasper, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean quiet park. As mentioned before the road in was narrow and very bumpy, but not the fault of the campground (county road). We got here after dark and the package for our spot was there ready for us and was easy to find. Not very level site, but that could be due to the darkness and not being able to see properly. Hookups all worked very well. We stayed two days and would stay again. Rate reflects Passport America We camped at Florida Gateway Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
