Easy on and off the Interstate only 2 miles to campground. Less than 5 miles east of winslow. Water was turned off due to cold nights, but could fill up by dump station if needed. Restrooms were very clean. Only about 5 other campers in park. Barely hear the interstate noise. Called the visitor center and she told me the sites that were reserved, took an empty site and called her back, dropped money in the self registration/pay station. Our site had 50 amp good electric, ATT cell service good. Small trees, sat dish no problem. Great overnight park or to visit Winslow "standing on the corner" park and other attractions.

Stayed here for two weeks. 25 miles from Downtown Vegas. Friendly and helpful owners. Park, Bathroom and showers clean. Site spacing is good. WIFI was upgraded and worked very good, faster than most RV parks we have stayed at. ATT cell service good. Pet friendly park. Park has a lot of of monthly/seasonals, most sites are clean and organized, However there are a few seasonal sites that are junky (detract from the overall appearance) and could use a good cleaning out of junk and storage items. We will definitely stay here again.

Rate is with Good Sam Discount, however we did use Passport for 3 nights which brings rate down even more. Nice clean and well laid out park. All pull thru sites, electric is metered .15 kwh we averaged $6 day, washer and dryer were used to catch up on laundry. Check in was slow, but she got it done. Nice rec room and laundry room. Quiet place to camp and close enough to the attractions in the area. Entrance sign hard to see until you are right on top of it. We will stay here again. Needed to use cell booster for ATT only one bar without it. WIFI was ok, slow in evenings. But, I have been on worse.

Wow! Our kind of park. Nice clean restrooms, enjoyed the layout and the landscaping in the northern half of the park, although the whole park is nice and very clean. Yes, it's a desert environment. Only about 10 spaces taken for first 3 days now about 20 taken. We learned about the history here and visited the excellent museum free with stay and historical society across street in train depot was very enjoyable. Very quiet park and nice staff and volunteers. ATT cell worked with our cell booster 5 bars, but without we picked up movistar from mexico and no ATT. No wifi. Did not cross border. Will definitely stay here again.

Stayed 5 nights in pull thru, per person fee per day of $7 if you don't have TX parks pass. Cable is snowy but viewable. Att 3 bars LTE, no wifi. Current campground host cleans the restrooms and showers everyday and does a great job, they are older buildings and could be replaced, but they are ok to use. Pool is 74 degrees year round from artisian spring. Gas station in town has a cafe with burgers and some fried food, burgers and fries were good, not much else in town. Quiet place to relax at, a lot of over nighters stop while traveling on I-10, only had about 10 campers in park each day. We would stay here again.

I will concur with other comments by herbee in Jan 2016. We called and made a reservation, pay when you get there. Bud came out and met us as we pulled in and showed us to our site. Sites are large and level, you are in the desert, no grass, just gravel and dirt. Water pressure and electric good, ATT cell service 3 & 4 bar 3G. Park WIFI best I have had to date, very fast. Small Rv park with 2 showers/bathrooms in a mobile home as well as washer/dryer, kitchen and rec area, all were very clean. Bud had a campfire that night a bunch of campers sat around and socialized. Very clean, small and quiet park. Irene provided us with information on Big Bend NP and Ranch SP. Bud and Irene have recently sold and I believe the new owners should continue the nice atmosphere that we encountered here. Will definitely stay here if in the area again.

I agree with previous post. Nice COE park, friendly attendants that care about the park and keep it pretty darn clean. Nice spacious and level pull thru sites with water view, 50 amp. Back ins are 30 Amp. ATT cell service good at park, good water pressure and no electric problems.

Date of Stay:

Agree with some of previous reviews. Back sites are a little more spacious than the ones by the water. Fair amount of sites are fairly level, but there is a fair amount that slope either backwards or foward, not excessive but enough that blocks would be needed for a motorhome. Park is clean and quiet, only two of us here during the week. Free WIFI works pretty good, thanks LA. Some trees could be trimmed higher for the large RVs. Roads are all paved but are narrow and we did get through ok with 43 ft motorhome, one tight turn needed to back up. Sites all paved. Didn't use bathhouse. We wouldn't stay here if it was close to full, just to close to neighbors for us. Water pressure good, electric good. Site 45 in the open with grass Satellite reception no problem.

Date of Stay:

Black Gum Loop is first come first serve, sites 29-38 are close together and shorter for the larger RV. Sites 39-50 are spaced out a little more and will accommodate 42 ft Motorhome. Loblolly loop is heavily treed and most sites are tight for a MH with slides. Sites 2,4,5,6,8,17,19,&23 looked the best for me and larger motorhome. Quiet week with only about 7 campers in our loop. 15 yards from water, garbage cans at your site, bathhouse is about 3/4 mile away. We will definitely camp here again.

Great overnight stop or for visiting Petrified Forest NP. Onsite owners/managers are very friendly. Nothing fancy, gravel level parking spaces and park was neat and clean. Yes it is an older park and motel on site not used. We felt very safe here and heard very little interstate traffic, light sleepers might have a problem. Didn't use bathrooms. Only 4 or 5 other campers here, no seasonals or workers or run down RVs that I saw. Wifi availabe but we didn't ask for password, good water pressure and 50 amp was 121 on both legs, site spacing good by Route 66, maybe a little close by motel. We support the small rv parks when we can, don't need all the amenities that we don't use. We will definitely stay here again. Quaint little park worth staying at if passing through or visiting area for a day or two.

Stayed 4 days, but didn't use restrooms or showers. However, outside of buildings are fairly new. 50 Amp FHU site, but the water and electric are on the wrong side so had to run the cord and hose under MH. Nice covered picnic table at each site. Nice city park on the River. Fairly Quiet even with highway close by. Only 5 other campers here. We would stay again.

Date of Stay:

Excellent place to stop for overnight. Friendly staff on phone, had everything waiting when we arrived. Sites are nicely spaced. Yes is dirt and gravel, no grass, small paver type patio with picnic table. FHU, long site didn't have to unhook tow vehicle. Sits on top of hill can see for miles to the west. Excellent directions on their website. We would stay again traveling thru the area.

Stayed in the New Section that was just opened on Dec 1st. The older section across the street has mixed Mobile Homes and RV's. The park on both sides is spotless. The new section is very nicely done with ample spacing between RVs, concrete pads at every site. Wifi was good the first day, but it has been out for most of today. Jerry the Campground manager is very friendly and helpful. She escorted us to our site and helped get parked. Even with being close to HWY 60 we did not here the traffic at night, is very quiet. We ended up staying three days instead of the planned one.

Date of Stay:

Roads in park are narrow but no low trees and you can get through. Parked late at night and the campground was empty. Most sites are too small for large RV. Most sites closer to water are grassy area and not well marked on where to park. They are also sloped towards the water. Would not stop here again. Park was clean. It just needs work on sites, like gravel parking areas as opposed to all grass.

Date of Stay:

Stayed on fox loop site 89. The center sites on this loop are all pull thrus. 75 ft long and 75 feet to next site. Excellent loop and site. Still cold out so only one other camper in our loop. Would love to stay here again for longer. Friendly campground host came around and collected our money. Very clean park.
