I give this campground an overall rating of a 9. Our site was close to the highway that another post mentioned. We did hear alot of road noise. But after a while we were used to it. We were right across from the playground which the kids loved. This weekend was their strawberry festival. We paid in advance for our tickets (around $10 for family of 3)I was under the impression that there was going to be a festival where you could purchase strawberry items. To my surprise, all it was was strawberry shortcake. It was good but, I could of made it myself for alot less. The bathhouses were clean. The pool area was nice, although we didnt get to use it because the weather was about 60 degrees. The camp stores are very nice and they have 2 of them. We had to purchase sweatshirts because it was so cold and they were not overpriced like alot of campgrounds merchandise is. The sites are very roomy, graveled and grassy. We were very pleased with the sites themselves. If you can get past the road noise the campground is enjoyable. If you feel that you have to pack up and leave for the noise, I would give up camping alltogether! We camped at Friendship Village Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Just ok. This campground had a well water problem all weekend. The water was orange and nasty. Come Saturday there was no hot water for a shower. The pool area is nice. I was not thrilled with all of the underage kids working the store, snackbar and doing the activities. They all had the personality of a stick. Some of the activities were a real let down. When it came time for the balloon toss, the girl brought out maybe 12 water baloons for the 30 or so kids wanting to participate. My child was very disappointed. The hayride is pulled by a Ford Truck. The campground has a arcade that dispenses tickets to win prizes. It seemed like their main priority was for you to dump tons of $$$ in the arcade. I dont take my children camping so that they can blow tons of $$$ in an arcade. The playground is in the middle of a bunch of tent sites. You have to walk around peoples tents to walk around the playground. I didnt like that. The restrooms were not the cleanest. The floors were muddy and wet. The one restroom did not have any way to dry your hands. Does it cost that much for some papertowels? We will not be returning to Benners Meadow Run anytime soon. We camped at Benner's Meadow Run Camping & Cabins in a Tent Trailer.

We camped at Brookdale for their Halloween Weekend. We loved the haunted house and the trick or treating. They had planned activities and a free breaksfast on Sunday morning. The lakes are nice. The bathouse was clean. Our site was shady. The only downfall about this campground are the playgrounds. They are really outdated with the strangest swings I have ever seen. The owners were a bit moody when we were late checking in and they were getting ready to close for the evening. I didnt hold it against them and have made reservations for this year. We camped at Meadville KOA (Was Brookdale Family Campground) in a Tent Trailer.
