Overall Rating:

This was the 3rd time in 3 years that we have stayed here as we travel thru the area. We stay only 1 night but it very convenient, clean, and friendly. The sites are easy to access and are flat and level. We camped at Mountain Road RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cielo Vista RV Park, Truth Or Consequences, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed only 1 night, but were VERY impressed with the facilities. Our pull-through site was flat, level and easy to get in and out of. The ground was gravel, spotlessly clean and raked with the care of a Chinese garden. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were on the 3rd level overlooking the city which was very pretty at night. We camped at Cielo Vista RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We were there on a Sunday and a lot of the store were closed. But there were several museums, restaurants, gas stations, a 3-screen movie theater with current 1st run movies and a Walmart. Elephant Butte Lake is very large with a large marina, and is just a couple of miles north.

S & H Campground, Greenfield, Indiana

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

As we approached there were no roadside signs indicating park's name or which driveway was the entrance. After we disconnected from the truck, got level, extended the slides and connected the utilities, we discovered that the power pedestal did not have power. One of the workers said that they were having trouble with the underground wiring and offered to relocate us. Later I noticed that the romex wire from one light standard to the next was laying ON TOP of the ground. The park claims to have 360 spaces but when I tried to use the only laundry I found a tiny room with just 2 washers and 2 driers, and the staff was uncertain where the closest laundromat was. The store inventory was primarily candy and chips with almost no RV or camping supplies. The overall appearance of the facilities was one of a general lack of caring. We camped at S & H Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Forest Ridge Campground and RV Park (Formerly Hospitality Woods RV par, Ellsworth, Maine

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

They offer many discount options, including 5% if you pay cash. This park is very conveniently located about 30 minutes from both Bangor for large city shopping and entertainment, and Bar Harbor for Acadia National Park and ocean adventures. The park is family friendly, surrounded by heavy woods and is quiet. Owner/operators live in a 5th wheel in one of the spaces so they understand the camper's needs and experiences. The staff is very helpful. We are staying for the season! We camped at Forest Ridge Campground and RV Park (Formerly Hospitality Woods RV par in a Fifth Wheel.

Well designed park with lots of amenities for RVers. Easily accessible from the highway, easy to negotiate the roads, our site was large and level. The staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating of the needs of RVers. The dog yard was large, fenced and clean. The office/store was well equipped. Highland Campgrounds, Dalton, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Directions to the campground were confusing, making it hard to find. It is quite a distance from grocery stores and gas stations. When I telephoned for assistance I got a recording. The facilities were minimal, the on-site staff was hard to find, the office was unattended and there was no answer at the posted telephone number, some of the interior roads were very steep, sites were heavily wooded. Our site a pull-thru horseshoe and not quite level. I would say that it was barely satisfactory for a short stay. We camped at Highland Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We spent the summer in this campground (May 1st to Oct 15) for $2400.00. It was a delightful experience and we are looking forward to being there again next year. The owners reside on site and could not have been more friendly or helpful. The campground services include a propane tank filling service. Tips for other Campers:

The town of Ellsworth is a very convenient staging location. Acadia Nat'l Park and Bar Harbor are just 20-25 miles SE and Bangor is just 25 miles NW. Baxter State Park and the new National Monument Katahdin Woods and Waters are an easy 1-day drive north. This part of the Maine coast is spectacular and very accessible with many small lobstering towns and harbors.

Boston Minuteman Campground, Littleton, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

We Just spent 1 night while traveling south from Ellsworth Maine. This park was easy to find, and easy to access. It is a beautiful, heavily wooded park. The trees adding privacy to every site and the feeling that we were truely out in the wilds. The interior roads were easy enough to negotiate, but it was very helpful that the staff led us to our site and helped us maneuver into it. We camped at Boston Minuteman Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Arrowhead Marina & RV Park, Schenectady, New York

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We were traveling through the area and only stayed 1 night but would have gladly stayed longer. It is a smallish park, beautifully designed with gently curving roadways leading to wooded sites that somehow felt quite private. The park had just opened for the season and so it was not crowded. The Mohawk River is scenic and the park's boat ramp looked very easy to use. Access from the turnpike was quick and easy, albeit a little tight crossing over the railroad track. We camped at Arrowhead Marina & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is our 3rd winter here. We stay Nov thru March. A 50-amp site is $595 per month.
