Oceanside RV Park, Gold Beach, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Nice RV park with partial or full hookups. Located on the jetty between the Rogue River and ocean with walking access to both. Close to town but wouldn't know it. All gravel and sand with good roads and wide level sites. Good free wifi and good cell service. No trees, but plenty of ocean breezes. The staff was nice and helpful. No store but very close to town. Will stay there again. We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Chinook Bend RV Resort, Lincoln City, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Not a resort, it is a campground with utilities. Very pretty location by the river, but overgrown weeds and lot of potholes in the gravel roads and the sites. No cable tv or wifi and no cell service. Sites pretty close together and mostly seasonal and run down trailers and fishermen with boat trailers. Quiet and 6 miles to town. The staff was nice and a little store with a lot of fishing stuff and a few groceries, beer etc. Won't stay there again. We camped at Chinook Bend RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Bastendorff Beach County Park, Coos Bay, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

If you like camping in the dark woods, this is a good place. County campground with paved interior roads and paved level sites in the trees. Narrow interior roads. Don't recommend long or tall rigs. Very difficult to get into narrow sites with narrow one way roads. Each site separated by tall hedges or forest. No sewer at sites. Both water with 30 amp and dry sites available. Most sites back into forest for camping experience. Very few sites can get satellite signal. Good cell service and OTA. Playground but no rec room and no store of pool or activities. Must drive to beach. Narrow and twisty state roads to get to area from the south. Nice place to camping for a few days, but not so good for RVing. We camped at Bastendorff Beach County Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice RV park. Paved roads and wide level concrete pull thru and back in sites with a strip of grass between each and scattered trees. Utilities good. OK for big rigs. About half the sites can get satellite signal. NO cell signal but a cell signal booster at the pavilion. Free wi fi. Nice gift shop and very small grocery store. Family owned and operated park. No pool or rec room. Everything clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Good restrooms, showers and laundry. On the Ave of the Giants. Overall a very nice RV park. Would stay there again. Duncan Mills Camping Club, Duncans Mills, California

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

If you like camping in the dark woods, this is a good place. If you like RVing with cell service, WiFi, or TV, this is not the place. This is a private Camping Club, not a RV park. Paved and gravel interior roads, nice level gravel sites. Each site separated by tall hedges or forest. Some sites FHU, others 30 amp and water only. Most sites back into forest for camping experience. Only a few sites can get satellite signal and none can get OTA TV. There is no cell service and no WiFi available for 20 miles. Next to large river. Had problem with low voltage even when park half occupied. Small rec room and no store of pool or activities. 7 miles to Ocean. Very narrow and twisty state roads to get to area. Be careful with big rigs on county roads. Take highway 116 or River Road in from east, Avoid the Bohemian Hwy., lot of low branches. We camped at Duncan Mills Camping Club in a Fifth Wheel.

Bayou Bend RV Resort, Baytown, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice large private RV resort. Resort completely rebuild after Hurricane of 2016. Concrete roads with concrete back in sites with FHU. No trees but nice grass between sites. Utilities good. Good Verizon cell and 4G signal, cable TV, nice pool, RR and laundry. Good free password Wi-Fi. Office friendly and helpful. Park clean and well maintained. Little difficult to find, requires U turn under freeway to get on service road to entrance but easy for biggest rig. Follow easy directions on web site. My updated RV GPS couldn't find park or address. Would have rated it 10 but for constant low freeway noise. Will stay there again. We camped at Bayou Bend RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

No rec room, pool or playground. On site laundry. The pull thru sites are long and wide with FHU. 1 mile off I-10 but close to local highway with truck noise.
