Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground, Apple Valley, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

County park with campground at the edge of small town. Quiet. Sites for large rigs and separate primitive sites in the woods. Paved roads and gravel sites with grass between. FHU sites are open sky. Long level back in sites. Staff friendly and helpful. Good for travelers and big rigs. Note; Don't check in before 1 pm, strict rule and narrow entry road, allows departing rigs to leave by 11. Office at far end of park so must drive in all the way thru past sites to register. Not a resort but would stay there again. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Good for travelers and big rigs. Several boat launches, right on river channel. Nice kids playground. Staff friendly and helpful. Will stay there again. Nice park close to town. Gravel roads with pull-through and back-in sites with table and fire pits. Most large sites with only a few trees while most small sites are tucked into forest. Quiet. No rec room, pool, or playground, and no activities. Utilities OK. Weak WiFi at some sites, none at other sites. Staff friendly or helpful. OK for either camping or for big rigs and travelers. Would stay there again. Good value for area. We camped at Tiki RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Scottsville Riverside Park, Scottville, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

City park with campground. Paved roads and grass sites. Some sites have large trees and half with no trees. Utilities at odd locations, some up front of site, some on wrong back corner, some with water and elec in opposite front and back corners so brings extra hoses. Family campground on weekends with pool & playground. Dump station location off level so can't completely empty tanks and no water faucet to back flush tanks. Be aware of low branches, especially at registration parking by office. Staff not so friendly or helpful. Ok for camping with kids on weekends, but not so good for travelers and not easy for big rigs. Will not stay there again. We camped at Scottsville Riverside Park in a Fifth Wheel.

E-Z Camp, Fremont, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Called three time and left 2 messages with no return calls. Stopped anyway for overnight stay. Gravel road with small sites full of old trailers. Could not get anyone on the phone or find anyone on site. Their web page claims security and restrooms, couldn't find either. Only one bad site open so continued down the road. Water and 30 amp only. Would not stay there. We camped at E-Z Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Indy zoo is excellent but $$$. For an adventure and terrific food eat at Mann's Grill 4 miles away. No prices on menu as everything is a dinner or breakfast combo and are all the same price. Excellent food and good value at $7.95 and enough for two or take home half of the food. Indy speedway tour and museum interesting $.
