Bayou Bend RV Resort, Baytown, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice large private RV resort. Resort completely rebuild after Hurricane of 2016. Concrete roads with concrete back in sites with FHU. No trees but nice grass between sites. Utilities good. Good Verizon cell and 4G signal, cable TV, nice pool, RR and laundry. Good free password Wi-Fi. Office friendly and helpful. Park clean and well maintained. Little difficult to find, requires U turn under freeway to get on service road to entrance but easy for biggest rig. Follow easy directions on web site. My updated RV GPS couldn't find park or address. Would have rated it 10 but for constant low freeway noise. Will stay there again. We camped at Bayou Bend RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Road Runner RV Park (formerly Parkview Mobile Home & RV Park), Fort Stockton, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

OK for overnight. Packed gravel roads and sites. Large potholes in entrance roads. Mostly locals and oil workers. All sites gravel and patches of weeds and no trees. Park old, overgrown and trashy. No rec room, pool or playground. On site laundry. The pull thru sites are long and wide with FHU. 1 mile off I-10 but close to local highway with truck noise. Good Verizon cell signal and 4G mobile hot spot, good satellite signal. Office staff friendly and helpful. OK for overnight during the week as all the oil workers go to bed early during the week. We camped at Road Runner RV Park (formerly Parkview Mobile Home & RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Hidden Valley Ranch, Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Be aware the park is an hour drive off I-10. Last 7 miles on washboard dirt road at 8 mph. Any faster and you rattle everything loose. High desert RV park with gravel, rocks, cactus and no trees. Owners very nice. Sites wide and utilities good. No cell service. Park wi-fi good for $2 per night. Our site took 2" of blocks to level side to side. Nice views of desert foothills. Can ride ATVs in park and on adjacent roads and trails. Nice rec room and some activities. Low cost but way too isolated and bad road for a one night stay. 30 minute drive one way into town or store in car or truck without trailer. Will not stay there again. We camped at Hidden Valley Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Arizona Oasis RV Resort , Ehrenberg, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Only an OK desert type RV resort with gravel roads with long gravel pull thru and back in sites with FHU. No grass and only short trees. OK for big rigs. Cable tv $. Password wi-fi $, good cell signal. Nice pool. Park clean and staff helpful. No scheduled activities in summer. Premium sites overlooking river $$. Big problem; most sites have the elec and water pedestal on front corner of site. If electric connection on back corner of RV you will need to pull all the way forward and block road to unhitch truck and may still need two electric cords and two water hoses to reach. Same for MH. Advise measuring elec cord distances before accepting site. Will not stay there again. We camped at Arizona Oasis RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Blackstone North RV Park, Fresno, California

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Nice RV park with paved roads and wide, long concrete pull thru and back in sites with FHU with grass and trees. OK for big rigs. Be sure you are driving north on Blackstone road to enter. If going south have to make nasty U-turn. Problem; large trees need to be trimmed up higher. Almost all of the M/Hs and fivers had tree branches brushing roof. OK in summer because soft, bad in fall and winter as hard branches will damage roof. Most sites can get satellite signals if rig positioned right. Cable tv, good antenna tv, open wi-fi, good cell signal. No pool, no rec room, no store or activities. Park clean and staff helpful. Will stay there again. We camped at Blackstone North RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sparks Marina RV Park, Sparks, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicest RV resorts we have stayed. All paved roads, concrete pads, with artificial grass. Big rec room, pool and hot tub & small store. Park well maintained. Most sites long pull thru with room to park toad or truck. Back in sites long and $6 less per night. ½ mile off Freeway so no noise. ½ mile to large shopping center and ¼ mile from man made lake and 5 miles from downtown Reno. Several nice pet walk areas. Problem; the trees are getting taller and wider and are located on the south side and toward the front of each site sometimes blocking roof mounted sat signal. We also stayed 2 years ago and rate was $33. Accepts Good Sam. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Elko RV Park At Ryndon, Elko, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

RV park not a resort. No tax with GS. All pull thru level gravel sites with FHU. Some with trees, some open. RR next to office and bar which opens at 3 pm. Not very good but reasonable place and price to stop for a nite between Salt Lake City & Reno. 10 miles east of Elko. Easy on/off I-80 ¼ mile away. My GPS displayed it as Ryndon RV park, but entrance sign was Elko RV Park. Would stay again. GS. We camped at Elko RV Park At Ryndon in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice city operated campground with paved roads and level paved sites with large grass areas and table. Sites with and without trees. Long narrow pull thru and back-in sites. At the edge of town and quiet. Playground but no game room or pool, no scheduled activities etc, nice RV park not a resort. Free and strong un-secured Wi-Fi. Good Verizon cell and 4G signal. Satellite TV signal in most sites and good local TV signals, cable TV $. Only one central RR and showers, small but clean. Regular patrols by city police. My site was very short, but most others long. Camp host very friendly and helpful. Accepts pets. We would stay there again. Good Sam. We camped at Robidoux RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Oregon Trail Trading Post Campground, Lewellen, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Nice small RV park with FHU but no restrooms. Great place for an overnight stay. Pros; all pull thru level grass sites, FHU, a row of large trees for some shade, good store and café ¼ mile away, good cell service. Great price. Owner held normal price during eclipse weekend. Cons; can hear hourly trains but slept ok. Pedestals set up for back to back parking, but owner requested all park in same direction so utilities on wrong side for half the sites, but pick you own site and not busy so can park in a site with pedestal on back, trees will block roof mounted sat signal, portable sat OK, no wifi or cable. No restrooms or showers and no tents. Restrooms in store. Not busy. No discounts, price already low. Would stay there again. We camped at Oregon Trail Trading Post Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
